Is that you Jeb!?
Looks like Michelle Obama’s school lunch program.
How many Chinese have tested positive or is it just their competitors?
Seems like an unfair advantage for the host country to be handling the testing and knocking many out of the competition.
I’ll bet half my worldly wealth, the CHICOMS have athletes who are threats to theirs magically test test positive.
I have to confess I was all for letting the athletes go to the Chicom Olympics. They’d been training for so long and this might be their only chance. I guess I was wrong. This sounds worse than missing your chance at Olympic medals.
So they can’t eat the local Chinese food or they’ll fail the drug tests. And the food they are provided is inedible. Sounds like they need a free market situation. Maybe one of those Emergency Kitchens that show up natural disasters and make food for the emergency workers and victims alike? I bet they could fly a kitchen, a couple reefers full of food, and the staff over to the PRC and provide the athletes with decent (if American) food!
I think its China's way of showing the world who is the boss by their treatment of the athletes.
Because who is going to call them on it?
Not the court stenographers in the media. The Speaker of the House for the United States publicly admonished Olympians not to speak out. I'm pretty sure Biden is compromised.
Imagine if China were to detain Olympians.....
The AP reported this two days ago, Olympic teams raise concerns over quarantine hotels:
Excerpt:
[Russian biathlon competitor Valeria] Vasnetsova posted a picture Thursday of what she said was “breakfast, lunch and dinner for five days already” — a tray with food including plain pasta, an orange sauce, charred meat on a bone, a few potatoes and no greens. It's almost as if the Chinese had planned to starve and weaken the foreign competition so they would not be in top form when they are released back into competition. She said she mostly survived on a few pieces of pasta because it was “impossible” to eat the rest, “but today I ate all the fat they serve instead of meat because I was very hungry.” She added she lost a lot of weight and “my bones are already sticking out.”

After Eric Frenzel, a three-time gold medalist in Nordic combined, tested positive, German delegation head Dirk Schimmelpfennig lambasted the “unreasonable” living conditions. Germany wants larger, more hygienic rooms, and more regular food deliveries so athletes who are eventually released are still fit to compete, Schimmelpfennig said in comments reported by the FAZ newspaper.

Vasnetsova passed her time in quarantine with a little detective work. When fetching the food left outside her door, she took a glance at the boxes left outside other rooms in her corridor, whose doors were labeled with signs to distinguish Olympians from other people working at the Games who tested positive, such as team staff.
She concluded the athletes were getting worse food, and underlined it with a picture of food served to her team doctor, who had also tested positive and was living two floors below. He had fresh fruit, a salad and prawns with broccoli.
Two days on from her criticism, Vasnetsova is still in quarantine but things are looking up.
Russian biathlon team spokesperson Sergei Averyanov posted a picture of what he said was an improved meal delivered to Vasnetsova’s room including salmon, cucumbers, sausages and yogurt. A stationary bike will be delivered soon, he added.

You would think they would get great Chinese food
If that can be shown, the entire Olympics should be voided.
China is using old East German experts on how to win more medals
had they all done the right thing and boycotted china ad refused to go there because of their human rights violations in the first place- then they wouldn’t be eating horrible food right now-
I’d like to feel something for the athletes chasing gold at all costs. Really, I would. But I have to trim my nails and do other things.
“ They don’t have to care. They have our money, our jobs, and have built a huge military. The Chinese do as they please and the rest of the world can p!ss off.”
You left off that they have our President, most of Congress and Senate, including Mitch MaConnell, as well as our media.
Maybe those athletes could be put to work making iPhones. They’d make decent slave wages (a dollar a day), the ChiComs would get richer, and we’d get the latest phones. It’s a win-win all the way around.
It’s a excellent life experience for em....
Gives em a good taste of what the communist RAT party wants to do here.
Awesome lesson on China. Lap it up liberal idiots!
Lesson 1: China is a dictatorship. You are not free. These athletes are learning just how not free you are in China.
Lesson 2: China cheats. They are starving finely-tuned world class athletes in order to reduce their ability to perform. China can win many more medals by taking competitors out of contention by starving them of necessary nutrition right when they need in the most, just before competition. Brilliantly evil on the part of the very evil Chinese.
Lesson 3: PCR tests are worthless and cause massive over-reporting of cases. Even the article mentions how PCR tests are “sensitive” and can test positive on traces of virus long after someone is healed of the disease.
This is how all of our governments can make it sound like cases are soaring or constantly high. PCR tests cause false positives. Is it 2x actual? 3x? 10x? Who knows? The only truth is that real cases of Covid 19 are a fraction of the “positives” resulting from PCR test.
I am thrilled to see all of these brain dead goo goo liberals being held captive starving in China and all of the dumb liberals who are now seeing how people are treated in China. Although, liberals don’t seem capable of learning.
wow
Good lesson learned for the younguns.
Socialism gives government absolute power.
This is what absolute power looks like.
