I highly doubt it. However this is FR. If it fits the narrative, it must be true.
China is flexing to the world.

I truly wish everyone would.
Is anyone truly surprised? It’s not a good time to stress your kid’s participation in athletics. The kids don’t understand the political side of things, they’re just eager to compete and win. (When I say “kids” in this case I’m including people in their 20s who have been groomed to compete since they were little.) And now there’s an extra bonus of males being allowed to compete against females. We don’t go to school so we can become pro athletes.
They should just think of themselves as honorary Uyghurs.
Sounds like a lot of fun.
I’m sure the MSM will whitewash the hell out of the story.
I wonder how many of China’s athletes have “tested positive” and been sent to quarantine?
I wouldn’t AT ALL put it past the ChiComs to deliberately sabotage potential threats to their own athletes’ success, by causing competitors to “test positive” and be unable to compete, thereby ensuring that the Chinese athletes (who mysteriously never seem to test positive) are the only one still in the event who can compete at the top level, and artificially inflating China’s medal count.

It would be interesting to see how many foreign “top-ranked” athletes are “carted off” into isolation (in their gulag) due to (unverified) Chinese Covid tests,
and how many mid-rank, easy-to-beat athletes are carted off,
and how many Chinese top-ranked athletes are carted off.
And what narrative would the article be supporting?

Too late now, but it would have been wonderful if a country like, the United States, knocked the dust off of everything in Lake Placid or Salt Lake and invited the world for an alternate Olympics.
