The state of Calif is NOT ‘sponsoring gun shows’.
The space is rented for a hefty price.
NO POLITICIAN can twist words like a LIBERAL.
That’s okay. The criminals know where to get guns.
California Constitution, 1880
Article XIX
“SEC. 4. The presence of foreigners ineligible to become citizens of the United States is
declared to be dangerous to the well-being of the State, and the Legislature shall discourage their immigration by all the means within its power.”
Article XX Section 2 acknowledges that deadly weapons are legal.
The original Republic of California appears to have banned all guns....

The free-spirited left is all about banning things.
Crossroads of the West started new shows in Prescott Valley AZ in anticipation of losing California sites.
It’s a better strategy to approach these bans as a violation of the First Amendment’s guarantee of freedom to peaceably assemble (which it is) because if that effort should fail you’ve still got the challenge under 2A to fall back on.
It’s a military concept called “defense in depth.”
And it’s a more digestible concept in some quarters because no one wants to be made to think their right to assemble is being threatened. And even if your first effort falls short, that failure does nothing to tarnish 2A.
It would be simple enough to use those venues as a meeting place to set appointments for a later purchase contact.
....went to a lot of state fairs when we lived “back east,” but never saw a gun show at any of them....but, that was then and this is now....live in Texas...! where there is a gun show some where, some place virtually every weekend...!! love it....and I don’t have to worry about getting chickens**t or horse manure on my boots...!!!
I used to enjoy gun shows at The Cow Palace at the San Mateo County border with San Francisco. Until San Francisco politicians made a stink about it, and got them banned with help from San Mateo liberals a few years ago. The gun shows were a great place to find ammo and accessories on the cheap.
Rap? Not very family-friendly.
