Spoke with a friend who is a programmer for an insurance co in downtown Columbus an hour ago.

All the top computer talent are being headhunted right now. People are getting emails and phone calls from various companies who are planning on moving in. 30 computer companies are moving in with Intel.

He is in his mid 50’s and is worn down with life and on the downslide of the job market.. He said he wished this happened 20 years ago.

My bride was from Ohio and we both could not wait to get out of that state.

I'm glad you left the state.

I’m glad you left the state.

I’ll take that as a good thing since I was born and raised in Texas and spent the last 20+ years here in Georgia. :)

One of my last assignments in the Army was managing an IT Section. (Mid ‘90’s) I’m no computer whiz, and mostly I managed my staff and had THEM get stuff done while I got them parts and hard/software that they needed, but we used a LOT of Intel products back then. And not just for ‘intel,’ *SMIRK*

Glad to see this happening for Ohio and glad to see Intel getting a clue and keeping manufacturing in America.

"Ohio is a Moonbat blue state."

I was born and raised here in the Appalachian hills of Southeastern Ohio..

There is some "Blue" around here, but it tends to surrey from one rat hole to the next... :)

Truth is, most all of Ohio is a strong RED... Only the cities in the counties with the large universities are blue.

Cincinnati was a fine RED city until maybe the mid 70's. That's about when the machine tool trades moved out..

There was a time when Cincinnati was the mecca of the machine tool industry..

Some of the trillions of dollars we have sent to China is coming back to the US and into real estate. First it went to teh big cities and now it difuses to secondary markets. The fed printing money is also massively inflating hone prices. There will be a RE crash and a hard one sometime in the next few years.

Gotta call out your lies about the great state of Ohio.We have been a red state for decades. All statewide office holders are Republican. The central Ohio area had been booming for decades and is a fantastic place to run a business.Home prices are relatively cheap compared to the east/west coast.Normally I wouldn’t comment but your post is nothing but BS.Good riddance .
