The reasonable fear is that Pootin is going to give Xiden a tidy little war to ensure the Zombie has a chance at two terms and a weakened Amerika at home and abroad through 2028.
No president has lost re-election in a war scenario since Poppy (this is arguable since the hot war was over by 1992, but you had US-enforced no-fly in Iraq, the 540,000 troop draw-down was still happening into 1992, the oil fires were not fully extinguished until Nov 1991, and most importantly, the jackleg left Saddam in power).
If you take away Poppy, no president has lost a wartime re-election, as neither Truman nor LBJ were willing to put the theory to the test.

The Russian army will go randomly in single file, a couple of threes, a bunch of dancing twos, until well across the border, where they will suddenly ASSEMBLE when ten miles in.
Oh comrades, what are you to be doing here at this time? As they take over.
