People are being carjacked, surrounded and beaten, pushed in front of moving trains and shot in the back for working at Burger King at night.
According to Wikipedia, during the 80+ years of Jim Crow, 3,446 blacks and 1,297 whites were lynched, for a total of about 4,743 lynchings in the entire USA. Of course, there is no way to measure additional "racially motivated" killings (either black or white) by beating, stabbing, shooting, etc... during that time, which would all be classified as plain murder.
But in the way of comparison, in 2021 alone, ONLY within the borders of Chicago, 800 people were murdered.
