There’s no way he could’ve known on 1/20 the deep state would still have these protestors locked up nearly a year later. IMO the vindictiveness of the left has surprised all of us.

He wasn’t allowed to. He was deposed immediately after Jan 6th in a stealth 25th coup. As in any coup, all his communications were cut and social media accounts closed. The military was responding to orders **from someone else**. It wasn’t Trump who gave the order to send 2 divisions totaling over 25,000 troops into DC and build a barbed wire wall.
There were several cabinet members who resigned.
I think he was told to not resist or he and his kids would be arrested. No pardons unapproved by them, and no more statements. Milley and Pelosi already coordinated that the military would not follow his orders. The courts all rubber stamped everything. If he cooperated, he would be allowed to depart on inauguration day.
If he resisted or persisted that he won the election, Pence, Pelosi, and McConnell let him know the 25th would be invoked and confirmed by the Senate the next day if he opposed that move.
He was given a choice, shut up and then leave on January 20th quietly, or be removed from office within 24 hours and be arrested. But he was no longer in power. Everything went through Pence, Pelosi and McConnell.
He’ll donate a few bucks to their commissary fund.
You can pardon with no trial or conviction needed. You don’t even have to be charged. This is beyond question. You can even be pardoned for any federal crime within a specified period of time.

He never had a loyal VP. Pence was stabbing him in he back even BEFORE election day in 2016. he was angling to get Trump dumped when the pussygate tape hit.
Pence lied and got Flynn fired. Pence brought in McMaster, Bolton and numerous other treacherous swampers. Pence was silent during Mueller and was secretly hoping Trump would be gone shortly. Pence did nothing to advice Trump’s agenda.
Pence let Fauci run wild and undermine Trump. He let the covid scam destroy the economy.

Pence was given to main jobs by Trump. One was election integrity. He certainly failed on that one. The other one was coronavirus task force. Another mess.
So assuming, for the sake of argument, that you are correct and Trump is returned to office some time before January of 2025, and as a result the 2024 election is saved, then who will you vote for in 2024? I'm assuming you wouldn't vote for the sitting vice-president if Pence were to run?
I might vote for Trump’s third term in 2024. We will have to wait and see. I believe things are definitely going to be different.
