If I remember correctly, Blumenthal was the Connecticut State Attorney General and led the lawsuit against Big Tobacco, used that to get elected to the Senate. He’s a shameless opportunist, always in front of a camera, just like Schumer was before he became Majority Leader. Don’t believe anything Blumenthal says.
