Mine makes me rinse with a mixture of peroxide and mouthwash while in the dentist chair. He is very anti-vax and pro other methods.

Unless your mouthwash is 100% alcohol then yeah, pretty much.

Let me guess....

Cloth masks barely stop any of the viruses that a person emits but even a little bit is enough to say we must do it.

Ivermectin has not been proven through double blind, peer reviewed, placebo tested trials to be 100% effective so we shouldn't use it.

Kids are very unlikely to get serious Covid but since their is still a chance of harm, we need to vaccinate them and lock them down.

Vaccines are proven to not stop you from getting and transmitting Covid but since they may have some possible effect we must mandate them.

Do you see how this works?

Any information that comes out in favor of hope and against fear and panic and may suggest that we don't need totalitarianism is deemed "not sufficient to act on".

Any information that can be used to elicit fear and hopelessness and suggest the need for totalitarianism is viewed in the lens of "even if it saves one life, it's worth it".

Are you a stooge or a shill?

This will never be widely publicized either...note the date of August, 2020...

https://krcrtv.com/news/local/redding-doctor-says-he-may-have-a-solution-to-prevent-transmission-of-covid-19

Redding doctor says there is an extra layer of protection against COVID-19 available

Redding, Calif. — Doctor George Domb is an ear, nose, and throat specialist in Redding.

He has been practicing for more than 40 years and he says he has a simple way to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Doctor Domb says combining "Povidone Iodine”, brand name betadine, with a saline nasal spray is a powerful way to kill coronavirus.

He says when a high proportion of ENT doctors started dying, others started using it to protect themselves.

"Somewhere along the line after I started using it in the nose to prevent myself from getting COVID-19, I started giving it to my patients, the ones in my office, and then a little while ago I started thinking the whole pandemic could be squelched if enough people throughout a community use it," Dr. Domb explained.

It is all available over the counter at your local pharmacy.

Povidone Iodine is a disinfectant, and you want the solution, not the scrub.

Dr. Domb says to mix half a teaspoon of the 10% Povidone Iodine solution with a 44-mL spray bottle of saline nasal spray and shake it up.

He has given it to his family members.

Amanda Domb, Dr. Domb’s daughter said, "I use it four times a day, it's super easy to use, it doesn't hurt or anything. You just do it twice in each nostril, sniff a little bit and it's done. It's like really easy to add towards your morning routine and after you spray it in, if you just kind of tilt your head back that helps as well. It's just an easy precaution to take. I also am always wearing my mask, social distancing, but this is just like that extra layer of protection that is helpful."

Dr. Domb says studies can take up to a year. And having three daughters in Los Angeles, a COVID-19 hotspot, pushed him to speak out now.

"I'm saying it kills it 100% in the laboratory, it's 100% safe, and we've used it for years and we know it kills bacteria in the nose. So, to me it was just common sense," continued Dr. Domb.

Dr. Domb has taken this all the way to the Infectious Disease Society of America guidelines doctor who told him they're awaiting results from studies.

Finally, he says this will not work for an estimated 10 to 15% of the population.

Do not use it if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have hyperthyroidism, are being treated for thyroid cancer with irradiated iodine, or hypersensitive to iodine. It should not be used on children younger than 6.

No less effective than masks and social distancing I would say.

"Tons of info showing mouthwash helps cure COVID? Where?"

Here is what Johnson said.

"Standard gargle, mouthwash, has been proven to kill the coronavirus," Johnson said, according to The Washington Post. "If you get it, you may reduce viral replication. Why not try all these things?"

So tell me where it says anything about a cure?

...and what ‘proof’ do they have that sanitizer does anything to stop the virus?

I’ve been doing nasal rinse for over 10 years, and I’ve tried the iodine flush. It’s not pleasant, but if properly buffered with a measured amount of salt, it’s tolerable. If COVID starts in the nose, and I’m flushing my nose daily to prevent allergic rhinitis and sinus issues, perhaps that’s a correlative factor for my lack of COVID infection despite being around people who were. Hard to say.

It doesnt matter. Once the cold, flu or cootie virus gets into your system it gets inhaled and is in your lungs, or gut. The nose and mouth are the avenue which it invades.

Using mouthwash, nasal sprays certainly wont hurt though.

Heh-heh - laugh if they will - but the mouthwash will kill some of the viruses which according to them is “partial protection” when the jabs don’t do their job....😎

But, if one wishes to boost the nutcases who want us all locked down, masked, muzzled and jabbed for ever, who am I to say anything 😏

Question for you .... were you using the povidone iodine as it usually comes when you buy it, in a 10% solution? For nasal wash/mouthwash, it should be diluted down to a 1% solution. If you had 10% & used it ‘straight’ ... boy, I’ll bet that did burn! I use it regularly as a nasal spray at 1% & don’t get any real burn at all. People are different so you could certainly be more sensitive to it than me, but I just wanted to make sure you weren’t using it at 10%.

Furthermore, what germs does Listerine kill? Listerine, an antimicrobial mouth rinse, completely killed microorganisms in 10 to 30 seconds; the microbes includes methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Helicobacter pylori, Candida albicans, Streptococcus mutans, Actinomyces viscosus, Porphyromonas gingivalis, Prevotella intermedia,

Also to know, will Listerine kill virus?

More than 60% of HIV was inactivated by a 30 second exposure to 50% Listerine. Listerine exhibited a potent bactericidal effect against cariogenic and periodontopathic bacteria. Listerine appears to be effective for killing etiologic microorganisms of opportunistic infection in the oral cavity.

Does Listerine help with sore throat?

Salt and Water Mix Gargles are common natural remedies for sore throats. Warmer ones tend to be more effective and make you feel better, so use warm water. Listerine is completely optional, and while this ingredient is not all natural, adding a tablespoon can help kill germs.

Well, the labeling on those "MUST WEAR" masks say the same thing.

"Will not stop COVID-19"

Really? It has to be 100% rubbing alcohol? and not 21% ingestible alcohol (which is in Listerine)?

How do you know that? What is the minimum percentage of alcohol required to kill COVID-19?
