What about Alabama? Heavily blue until the early 2000. In 2010, the GOP ended 136 years of of Democrat control.

I turn 59 years old in July. I was born and raised in California when it was Ronald Reagan territory. I then left to go to college and served 22 years in the Navy. I was stationed for one year at NAS North Island in 1987-88 and Monterey from 99-01. Otherwise, I have stayed away from home.

Been in Texas since 2017. Absolutely love it here. Unfortunately, more and more Marxists move here every day. I can only hope we have similar numbers from patriots/MAGA types as well.

Here’s a few headlines from the Dallas Business Journal this morning:

- California-based boot company is moving to Fort Worth
- Counting Californians: Here’s how many people, companies are moving to Texas from the Golden State (it’s more than one of every 10)
- LA-based Regent Properties creates 2nd HQ in Dallas
- Tesla HQ may open door for other massive relocations
- Leaving California: Why this company picked DFW

There are several more just from today’s issue. As much as I wish every Texas transplant is making Texas more “Red”, I fear the opposite is true.

Yep. I fled Virginia in 2020 in disgust, for Tennessee. It’s much better (and Redder) here. Never going back.

but because there are no jobs.

You can thank Republican Corporate Globalist Bush-bots, Free Traitors™, Clintons and Limbaugh for pushing offshoring for 30 years. Yes, the USA wants it's ugly but vital industrial base back.

I belong to a “moving” page on fb. The number of people posting they’re moving to Florida is mind blowing. The majority are coming from the north/NE and CA, and the main reason given is “freedom”

West Virginia. I can't think of another...

I’m seeing it within the state too. Red moving out of cities blue moving in to them.

Warm weather and water supply for sure.

That’s the beauty of the USA…. Most countries don’t have this luxury.

We see it here in North Idaho, too. Lots of political refugees from Seattle and California. This place is growing at an insane rate.

Still, we have less than 360,000 people in all ten Panhandle Counties.

To some extent, I agree with you guys. But, like the song says, breaking up is hard to do. Who gets custody of the military, for example? Who gets custody of the U.S. dollar? All of these details could be worked out, yes, but I don’t imagine that the transition would be a smooth one.

Ah, but here's the problem. Over time, red states are turning reliably blue. But blue states aren't turning reliably red.

Is that why we have more red states and governors/state legislatures than blue ones?
And even Latino majority districts/towns in Texas/Florida are now voting Republican?

Alabama was ALWAYS conservative. Back in the day, the democrats in Alabama were conservatives. That changed from the time of Reagan.

By then, Republicans became the real conservatives.

Democrats were being represented by people like Mike Dukakis, Bill Clinton and Algore as the democrat presidential candidates, and Congress was filling up with democrats like Ted Kennedy, Diane Feinstein, Nanzi Pelosi, Chuck U Schumer, Burnie, etc..

By that time (really started in the 1990s), people realized that the days of the “Dixiecrat” were over, and switched over to the GOP in mass.

I cringe every time I see a California license plate. Talked to an Idahoan and he said the same thing is happening there.

Virginia was once a solidly Democrat state. A Republican couldn’t get elected town street sweeper. The leftists started taking over the party and Virginia switched to Republican. Now wit the Second Invasion of the Northern Horde they have started the switch back to Democrat.
Now Virginia is a different case because of the proximity of the District of Corruption.
If not for Fedzilla employees moving here we would probably be a reliable Republican state.

Many think people from CA turn their states blue, when the ugly reality is their own kids, kids from their own public school indoctrination centers produce hundreds of thousands of newly minted leftist voters each and every year.

You don't seem to know much do you?
The entire south, including Alabama, Mississippi etc were solidly Democrat before, when they instituted Jim Crow laws etc.
Today they are getting clobbered in the south.

. But I'm just calling it as I'm seeing it.)

No you are not. You are pushing Dem talking points and far left propaganda.
