We didn’t give up our guns. Since the restrictions were put into place there are more guns in Australia than before and the average gun owner has more guns.

Australia only became a penal colony because the Brits could not send all the prisoners to the penal colonies in America due to the Revolutionary War in 1776. Georgia was one of those colonies with both convicts and “indentured servants”. The first prisoners didn’t arrive in Botany Bay until 1788. So Australia can thank the USA for it being populated.

After the USA...i.e. January 6th...US citizens imprisoned with out due process for minor offenses. Kept locked up in prison, given unbelievable sentences for trespassing, etc. Doesn't seem like the USA is very upset with this, few protests.
