Brown Recluse spiders are the SCARIEST of them all.
I was bitten by one a couple of years ago. I had a worse reaction from the sulfa drugs than the spider.
Brown recluse spiders cause big ulcers, therefore, big ulcers are caused by brown recluse spiders, therefore, brown recluse spiders cause big ulcers. This proves it. It was a big ulcer, therefore, it was a brown recluse spider.
I was bitten in Tennessee while camping. The pain began as a burning sensation. About 24 hours later I got home and called my doctor immediately. He gave me 6 types of medication. It stopped the process, but the dead feeling spot took 6 months to heal. I didn’t realize how lucky I was at the time.
I knew some people who went camping in the Arizona desert. They were upset to learn that tarantulas emerge during the night.
Oh I don’t know. Those spiders that catch birds are pretty frightening. Then there’s those in Australia.

One time I was on a job at night near Morenci, AZ. About 2 am, one of my coworkers was sitting on the ground with his hands behind him when a tarantula crawled into the light and onto his hand. Never saw anyone jump as high from a seated position as he did when he looked around to see what that tickle was.
Several of us had seen the tarantula coming, but of course said nothing.
It may be easier to identify the non poisonous spiders in Australia than the poisonous.
