I remember a driver or two who wouldn’t have let that car complete a lap..

NASCAR has to denounce it otherwise inviting pre-dawn no-knock warrantless FBI raids.

"We do not want to associate ourselves with politics, the left or the right.” Phelps said. What has that got to do with a historic Battle Flag?

Yes. And then, when sales drop off, they will outright lie and rationalize to find every other excuse to explain things. Everything but the truth. You're right rlmorel.

Why do they hate Brandon Brown, the 28-year-old driver who just won his first Xfinity Series on Oct. 2 at the NASCAR race at the Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama?

“It's an unfortunate situation and I feel for Brandon, I feel for Kelli,” Phelps said. “I think unfortunately it speaks to the state of where we are as a country. We do not want to associate ourselves with politics, the left or the right.”Why thank you very much for your opinion Mr Phelps. But who on Earth was holding you responsible for the opinions of the people in the stands? Who would hold NASCAR responsible for it? They are in a public place expressing their dissatisfaction with the current administration. The words are their own, not those of NASCAR nor of you nor of Brandon. If some Leftwing pressure mob is threatening you to denounce them, tell them its a free damn country and your fans can chant what they want, and that you are politically neutral. If you don't have the damn spine to do that, then you ARE picking a side. You are becoming a tool of the Left to censor dissent (the way the Left likes it).

He sits there with his teeth in his mouth and his face hanging out, after only on Feb 2021, NASCAR embraces 'Social Justice' wokeness.

It was Kelli Stavast of NBC Sports that coined the phrase “let's go Brandon”. My take on the phrase is that it is being used to ridicule her and the leftist media. In that case it is being used as parody, which places it under fair use doctrine. Regardless of who owns the copyright, NASCAR or NBC sports, there's not much they can do about it.

The NASCAR fan base will soon be woketards watching clown cars race.

I was once really looking forward to ‘Bubba’ Wallace getting to victory circle with Petty’s #43.
Then they pulled that phony “noose” gimmick at their garage, complete with a weeping Bubba and Richard Petty consoling him.
Wrote NASCAR and Petty off and will not spend a dime or watch any NASCAR events now.
I was a fan for over 50 years.

Headline is deceptive: they are protecting their trademark and note they want to be separate from politics on either side. Of course, they also got behind noosegate, so they’re probably full of crap.

Re: Post 48
I take it you work for NASCAR, NBC, or one of NASCAR's larger sponsors.
