Then posts what she found on tiktok.

No Alexa, siri, or anything that you talk to or has cameras except my phone. Any speak to anything is disabled. Computer camera and microphones unplugged,
They can track my phone all they want.. From the kitchen to the garage. Never in the bedroom and seldom if ever in a car with me.
They PAY to have espionage devices installed in their homes! Who in their right mind would allow a listening/recording device in their home and PAY A MONTHLY FEE for the “privilege “?

A group of Russians visited Moscow and all shared the same room in the hotel. They were soon drinking, talking, telling political jokes, laughing, and generally making a lot of noise.
One of them eventually wanted to sleep, so he asked the others to be quiet, but they kept going.
Finally he got an idea. He went out of the room and told the attendant to bring him a tea, but wait for a couple of minutes with it.
Then after returning he said to his friends: “Shut up, this room is under surveillance.”
They laughed.
Then he lifted a corner of the carpet and said: “Bring me a cup of tea, please.”
Suddenly, the attendant shows with the tea.
They were all are stunned and shut up instantly.
In the morning, the guy woke up to an empty room.
He asks the attendant: “What happened to all my comrades?”
“Oh, the NKVD took them all away! And, by the way, comrade Major really enjoyed your carpet trick!”
Then she did this to herself. As Kim DuToit once wrote: "I will not have one of those Stasi listening devices in my home."
I have refused to put those devices in my home as well.
Yes, which is why I have none of those things (except my laptop) in my home.

No "convenience is worth giving up your freedom and privacy to a damn machine. Call me old-fashioned.

My uncle worked for the government in security.
He was always telling me to get only a flip phone and to remove the battery when not in use.
He died recently. A few weeks before he did, we got to talk for the first time in a while. I asked if he still had his flip phone.
He admitted he had finally broken down and gotten a smart phone, but he still removed the battery.
He then shared that it was a losing battle. In his words, “Every home is compromised. Every vehicle is compromised. If you go shopping you are compromised. There is no more privacy.”
This is the same guy who, back in the 90’s, showed me a device that could pull info off a computer’s hard drive, wirelessly, even when it was off.

True. The FBI agent talking about your private life at the barber shop regularly walks his dog in front of your house to pick up and store your computer data. His "dog" is metal. The new robot ones with a gun mounted on top.

Will never let one of these recording devices in my home. I already have Siri participating in conversations. So I know Apple is always listening.
Having Amazon (or any other brand) “smart” speaker devices in your home means that you are not very “smart”...
Its safe to assume you’re being monitored — because you are.
Not only that you’re on candid camera and you’re whereabouts are tracked in detail everywhere you go.
But congress will surely stand up for our rights to privacy and put an end this dangerous surveillance. NOT!!!
