But the Election Clause of 1964, still in existence, directs and empowers states to determine the “Times, Places, and Manner” of congressional elections, subject to Congress’s authority to “make or alter” state regulations. It grants each level of government the authority to enact a complete code for such elections, including rules concerning public notices, VOTER REGISTRATION, VOTER PROTECTION, FRAUD PREVENTION, VOTE COUNTING, AND DETERMINATION OF ELECTIONS RESULTS. If they are not making the effort to determine the way voting is being accomplished in their state is not definitive, they are violating this act.
The feds are not in the loop to determine how it is done, but it must be accomplished within the guidelines of the election clause. And not requiring proper and complete identification when voting violates that act. The state is in violation and their results should be declined in elections.
