And, we should believe National Review, trashing a rising Conservative star, because?
Who is National Review ?
Ooohhh, I like that. That is why I said fill up the envelope with junk, it used to cost more and it gets charged to the bulk mail account. I’m not sure if those rules are still in effect, but the brick is a great idea.
She’s a pretty face chosen by the Powers That Be to advance their agenda, not an independent free thinker like Trump or Desantis.
Not unlike Nimrata Nikki Haley
The reason actors and liberal politicians get along so well
is because phonies tend to recognize one another.
This article does a GREAT JOB of deconstructing her. Once you get past her looks, what you find is someone who’d OWNED by special interests and only gives lip service to conservative causes.
We got lucky with the bill preventing guys from taking over girls’ sports. It got away from her usual method of killing it before it reaches her desk, and then saying “Don’t blame me, blame those men, over there, in the Legislature”. With her political future on the line (due to that bill) she chose the wrong side...and has doubled, and triple-downed (now), on the Chamber of Commerce side. She even makes McConnell look like a Social Conservative.
[Gov. Noem was on and they were totally ganging up on her and trashing her, speaking over her and generally being really, REALLY rude to her. I was kind of surprised.]

I am a native South Dakotan and former lobbyist to the South Dakota legislator. Noem is genuine, a savy politician on a state level and a pragmatist. Her close relationship with Sanford Health is unavoidable as Sanford operates the bulk of hospitals and long-term care facilities in the state. Sanford has recently been bought out by a Utah based hospital group which might change their support for puberty blockers. Noem is a populist like Trump and has strong conservative leanings but is not necessarily a conservative ideologue. Is she ready for a presidential run probably not, but she is a force to be reckoned with. Norm could well be the face of the new populist Republican party.
“Taxes. Property rights. Gun rights. Limiting government.
Noem is solid on all of these conservative PRINCIPLES.”
We thought she was ‘solid’ on protecting women’s sports, until that ‘advisor’, Matt McCaulley, told her to flip on the bill. Evidently that was all she needed, in that case - to hell with the base. So who wins when McCaulley tells her how to vote on gun control or property rights or anything else?
Politics is a team sport, and we are devoted golfers.
The time is near when everyone with even the slightest tie to traditional America is going to have to band together to defeat the globalist cabal which is determined to subvert and destroy our institutions and implement Communism as a proletariat management tool. We have no time left for infighting nor purity tests. The reality is that politicians need big money to get elected. They aren't going to be able to get it from small bands of angry golfers.
There are a whole lot of Americans in California waking up this morning wishing they could have a governor one tenth as conservative as Noem.
“And, we should believe National Review, trashing a rising Conservative star, because?”
Because they JUSTIFY their points.
“I bet you voted for AOC...But thanks for trying to start a fight like a complete douche-bag?”
A PATTERN with you guys - ALWAYS personal attacks on her detractors.
Give it up, she’s not even registering on some polling...she chose a side, and that was NOT the side of the base, which is why she’s getting her butt wiped at this point.
“Noem is cut from the same cloth. She can be of use, when she can be of use. “
Agreed
She’s done Nationally.
be of use? get me a dang sammich!
“We have no time left for infighting nor purity tests.”
so then, why don’t YOU vote for OUR GUY?
Guess your purity is ok, but ours isn’t?
Go away, squish!
Roll MAGA, roll!
The other poster started it.
She did chose a side. Just not the same one you, Willard, and McConnel are on.
See how that works?
It’s NR. A rag that’s not exactly friendly to real conservatives, they prefer the R moderates, or as I call them, the assistant democrats. All in all, not going to believe NR.
Wow, a Noem supporter who is CIVIL here.
Anyway, regarding her relationship with Sanford Health, I think she can have a relationship with them, while still being a strong social conservative, and still winning elections, as any threats by Sanford to defect to the Democrats will simply prove counterproductive for them, since it still won’t be enough to flip the state...and so Sanford ends up in the worst of both worlds.
In any case, I appreciate your honesty regarding her, there are simply certain steps one needs to take to become competitive in the Republican Party, and she just does not appear ready to take those steps.
“The other poster started it.”
Damn, you’re right in that case. As it is, if you’re a governor in a small state and want to be a player at the national level, then you have to act like a national player on issues that are important to the base. So maybe she’s putting SD (at least in her mind), but it’s killing her nationally.
