For years we’ve been using CO2 injection to flood older depleted zones and still use CO2 for fracing. We started flooding field with CO2 back in the 70’s. I believe the first was a couple of counties over called Scurry County. Their SACROCK unit was flooding a field there. Carbonic Acid dissolves limestone.
