Oregon politicians are claiming that these people aren't as capable or talented as Whites and Asians.
I know a family of Cambodians who escaped Pol Pot by trekking through the jungle, an arduous journey which cost the life of their mother. They made it to America and all have excelled at academics and business.
They came here with nothing. They understood that America is the land of opportunity for all. They took that ball and ran with it.
With the diploma they are guaranteed a spot in the pre-med program.
