The most painful realization about what has happened to this country is that we really deserve it...due to lack of resolve and wiliness to suffer any pain or suffering at all in the fight.
Essentially, there is no fight, just empty threats.
And the government keeps the printing presses going at full speed.
I’ve been renting an older (about 100 years old) nice house in a small town for the last 4 years and just a few days ago was talking to the owner.
I asked him if he had any renters that were not paying rent the last year due to this eviction ban - and out of about 20 houses he rents - not ONE tenant has missed even a month of rent since all of this covid stuff started.
I was surprised a little, but glad for him.
I don’t see how the CDC has ANY authority to change a legal contract between anyone.

Try to imagine the Republicans voting to evict millions of American voters from their apartments a couple months before the 2022 mid-term election.
