It’s “challenging” because the only proper response for the federal government is to do nothing at all. And this is of course anathema to someone in Congress. They will NEVER admit or even believe that they can’t solve every problem, and often only make things worse.

They got the flu. Everyone gets the flu. Sometimes twice. This strain of the flu happens to be particularly potent. We need to own the language on this. COVID sounds nasty and deadly. The flu, which is a coronavirus, is something that happens every year. So tired of the hyperbole.

“If he got the original wuhan 18 months ago, maybe he didn’t have good antibody reaction or maybe his antibodies lost their ‘go’ after 18 months?”

That’s what I’m betting. And he’s not vaccinated that’s for sure. He’s having a tough time getting his body to spin up antibodies to the 2020 infection. And if it’s mutated, Delta variant, etc. there may be a significant lag in anti-body production.

I got it in Jan ‘20 and have the J&J and 1st shot of Pfizer. Even with all that I had to take a day off work last week due to fatigue (my Covid-infection Proximity Alarm). A co-worker went out with Covid. But I tested negative last week.

The vaccines and prior encounters both work imo.

another crazy covid story from Australia. don’t ask how come someone could be flying in from China when there are nearly 40,000 Australians around the world who can’t get back home:

26 July: MSN: New Gold Coast exposure sites after new COVID-19 case diagnosed
by Natalie Oliveri
The positive case is a man who returned from China and spent two weeks in hotel quarantine.
Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young said he had three negative tests before leaving quarantine...

The man, in his 40s, was fully vaccinated...

Dr Young said it remains unclear where Queensland’s new positive case contracted the virus, having spent two weeks in hotel quarantine in Brisbane after returning from China.
“It could have been in China, it could have been in hotel quarantine or, indeed, it could have been in the community down in the Gold Coast,” she said.
The man tested negative before leaving hotel quarantine and returning to his home on the Gold Coast on July 12.

He and his family became unwell on July 13 and went to see their GP and got tested...
https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/new-gold-coast-exposure-sites-after-new-covid-19-case-diagnosed/ar-AAMyjwL?ocid=msedgntp

of course, this guy (and family) apparently went to dozens of places while allegedly “infected” and now thousands of people will probably be subjected to even harsher restrictions than already in place. insane.

Possible, but coronaviruses, rhinoviruses, and the flu mutate and circle the globe forever.

Absolute speculation.

Not much about Covid therapy that isn’t.

All of the stats we have been fed are pure BS. And they know it.

I concur on that point.

I was just stating that numerous vaccinated people have come down with covid a second time.

I and a woman from our church came down with something devastating in the third week of November, 2019 .

I've never had a flu shot and never will, so I thought this was just my bullheaded self getting his just desserts.

I didn't get "right" until around March.

And he’s not vaccinated that’s for sure.

Except you don’t know that. For sure.

How do we know he had Covid earlier? For an entire family to get covid twice makes me believe one of two things:

They never had covid

Covid was made in a lab

Antibodies are only part of the body’s immune response…T-cells and B-cells also retain memory of viruses and prepare attacks on them rapidly.

If the vaccine is based off the body’s natural immunity and how it responds then the vaccine wouldn’t be long lasting either. According to this story…which seems more like “hear say” than anything.

My thoughts exactly. Vague article…it can happen in very rare instances that someone tests positive after having covid but there’s little to no symptoms.

I’m not questioning him, but it is very doubtful he got the same virus the 2nd time.

The case in January 2020 was never confirmed so it's unlikely he did have it.

He never said the he did or did not take the vaccine.

He claimed in April when asked that he had a 'natural immunity' so it's highly unlikely he has been vaccinated.

“The flu, which is a coronavirus...”

From mayoclinic.org:

COVID-19 and the flu are caused by different viruses. COVID-19 is caused by a new coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2, while influenza is caused by influenza A and B viruses.
