2nd Declaration of Independence

I watched a documentary of the founding yesterday.

Interestingly it stated, the Patriots back then had a better rifle than that of the British musketts.

The Patriots, not sure how many had a rifle that contained the grooves inside the barrel to spin the lead ball and give better aim.

If we were to go to war, we would need the military to be our side. Otherwise we are toast.

The U.S. didn’t become independent through a Constitutional Convention. Most countries became independent illegally.

Are we talking about a war between the states? To the statement above...not certain Americans would be toast.

Guerrilla warfare is an odd thing. You’d think the opposition is losing their tails, yet after the dust settles, the powerful armies leave country with their tails tucked between their legs.

Soviet Union in Afghanistan, same with America in Vietnam. Not so much a loss in either of the scenarios, but heavy losses, billions/trillions of treasure and time spent fighting with no realized objective.

Americans are very well armed. The military would divide as well.

Most countries are not independent... They are under tyranny.

America was pretty much the world’s last hope for freedom.

Our constitution was not the problem.

It does not need to be re-written.

Enforcement is what is needed, and that was my point.

If we cannot elect those who will stand up for our highest laws, we will fall under someone else’s.

And that appears to be the CCP.

The real declaration included a long list of grievances against the King. Heaven knows we have a longer and equally serious list of offenses today.

Write up a new list and post it on one of the petition sites.

Would be interesting to see how many “signers” there would be today.

We tried that already (beginning on or about December 20, 1860). It didn't go so well.

Interestingly it stated, the Patriots back then had a better rifle than that of the British musketts.

It must be stated that the Patriot rifles were only good for sniping.

A line of rifles could not stand against a line of muskets under continuous fire. The accurate rifles shot tight fitting balls that took much longer to ram down the bore.

The muskets were essentially shotguns that could shoot a loose fitting ball, but not accurate past 50 yds.

The carnage of the civil war put an end to that type of "Napoleonic Warfare" when rifled muskets with "Minie" balls shaped like a bullet with hollow bases that expanded with ring grooves were used.

They loaded fast, but were accurate and allowed troops standing in lines to be cut down efficiently.

Honestly, I don’t think there will be a war between the people and government. I believe the elites are fomenting division between the people.

Divide and conquer. Have the races fighting. Culture war. Demographic war...young twits -vs- older conservative folks.
