Agreed. Single parent households, especially just the Mom, produce most of the felons in the US. Yah, single Moms struggle. But, perhaps instead of resigning themselves to struggling they ought to have first nailed down the best potential Dad before getting preggo.
As to this being a nightmare, nothing could be further from the truth. First, when has a Demo ever dabbled in truth — back with Roosevelt2 ? 2nd, kids from single parents are crippled — just ripe for progressive caca.
I put 100% of the blame on the dad
I have three kids and I’m a dad and I have every right to say that

What the hell does that mean?
Is the dad dead ? Incarcerated?
Or is he just too busy with his own little pleasures in life and playing video games and doing drugs to care about the raising of his children and the mother who he created the children with?
It is funny. I feel that conservatives do not make a big enough deal out of holding the biological fathers financially accountable.
I think we could win a better share of the women’s vote by supporting DNA testing and then holding biological fathers responsible for their children through wage garnishment and confiscation of tax refunds and giving that money to the mothers.
Heck, they encourage it. Much easier for government to swoop in and play the daddy role.
Money is important.
But there is infinitely more to being a dad than money.
The kids need a DAD. In their lives. At home. Interacting with them and their mom. Parenting. Instructing. Disciplining. Loving. Setting an example. Participating.
Many fathers are marginalized from the lives of their daughters and sons by a system that places zero value on the parenting time of fathers.
Fathers should be raising their daughters and sons, not paying someone else to raise their daughters and sons.
When people say that fathers have been replaced by welfare checks, they are saying that fathers were only a source of cash in the first place.
I sold plasma to make ends meet for a few months. There was some low life piece of crap at the plasma center who bragged about having 9 children with 5 different women. I felt so good knowing that me and a lot of other taxpayers were footing the bill for his bad habits.
