I'm not so sure about that. What I would like to know is how many young black CC sufferers were raised on McDonald's food. It seems to be their favorite chain. Both fried stuff and sodas (high-fructose corn syrup) are mentioned in the article. Also, in the South and its diaspora, drinking solely sweet tea or Coke from birth onward is what is done—you used to see Coke in baby bottles until dentists starting hollering about the damage to growing teeth.
All of the gay-bashing on this thread is juvenile. While society has seen a rise in annoying gay exhibitionism, what is also very likely more common among middle-aged blacks is that they were the first generation raised on frequent fast food and super-sized sodas, with high-fructose corn syrup. Other risk factors mentioned in the article are smoking (the rate of which is probably higher among black men) and cultural reluctance to go to a doctor for embarrassing symptoms.

The author's political views appear to align with the researchers so the geographic 'hot spots' seem to be based on coarse demographics.
Were there more detailed data in the study? Is there a correlation with the documented huge increases in venereal diseases in young men, drug users, etc.?
I have know many gays. As people they are fine, well most at any rate, and that is what I told them. But I also told them that demanding our acceptance of their lifestyle was not the way to win people over. I told them I do not accept their lifestyle, but I accept them as human beings. I even told them that the majority of gays are very creative people who have talents that the world will accept.
