I have a deviated septum, and have a problem breathing through my nose. I have to wear a nasal strip at night in order to be able to sleep well. I also take prescription medication that drys my mouth out. Whenever I wear a mask, I'm breathing through my mouth, which is already dry, and it only makes it drier. I end up short of breath sometimes as I'm walking through the grocery store, and if I have to wear them too long, I get a scratchy throat, my sinuses feel like they're filling up, and I get a headache. I'll be 74 in August, and do have health problems, but I'm not getting the vaccine. I live alone, go to the grocery store 1-2 times a week, and doctor appointments when scheduled, and wear a mask. I visit my two sons from time to time, but that's all the socializing I do. I've basically been social distancing since I retired in 2003.

My main reason for not getting the vaccine is that they don't even have an accurate test for the virus. A friend's son was tested three times for the virus because a co-worker was experiencing virus-like symptoms. Both men tested negative the first two times. The third time they were tested, they both tested positive. These tests were done over a period of time...not one right after the other. I've had vaccinations my whole life, but this is one I won't be getting.

Apparently not - or they’re just surrounded by groveling ‘yes men’. He asks *exactly* the wrong question and jumps to an unproven assertion that as they “might” help, the “collective good” should just trump the rights of the individual. What a foolish imbecile.

The RIGHT question; is there scientific, empirically provable, data to PROVE masks are effective against COVID-19? No? Then go f* yourself. Even if you do have the data, it STILL doesn’t justify government imposing the wearing of masks on everyone. These aren’t mom & dad decisions for children. We’re adults - free men only because many died to maintain our rights. This is a farce - especially now with vaccines, take them or not it’s an individual choice, we no longer have an “emergency”.

I have a deviated septum, too; and lots of sinus and allergy issues. My problem is that I just get too darn WET in a mask! I have to keep taking it off, blowing my nose, clearing out my throat.

(I”m not sure how much good the mask has been, with all of that going on :-)
