His most recent response to me is a good example. He takes a quote out of context and pretends that the article somehow agrees with his point of view. He uses the exact same tactics and strategy as the MSM and leftists of every stripe.
And yes, I was born and raised in Tacoma. Because of the awful crap that is going on... our house which we have owned for over 40 years will be on the market in approximately the next month. The issues have all been corollary to the ever increasing use of marijuana.
For NobleFree,
Definition of corollary:
1: a proposition (see PROPOSITION entry 1 sense 1c) inferred immediately from a proved proposition with little or no additional proof
2a: something that naturally follows : RESULT
… love was a stormy passion and jealousy its normal corollary.
— Ida Treat
b: something that incidentally or naturally accompanies or parallels
A corollary to the problem of the number of vessels to be built was that of the types of vessels to be constructed.
— Daniel Marx
$10.8B is chump change to what the cartels bring the states are dealing in penny’s in that arena.
Remember the cartels own the or else card how do do you think so many states make it legal because of the money they make NOT.
My most recent response to you (post #55) included NO quote.
Reading comprehension is the first thing to go.
False. Legal marijuana sales are $10.8B (https://www.fool.com/investing/2020/01/25/the-10-top-selling-cannabis-states-in-2020.aspx) for states making up less than 36% of the U.S. population (https://www.infoplease.com/us/states/state-population-by-rank), whereas nationwide annual illegal sales of marijuana are $41B (https://www.rand.org/news/press/2019/08/20.html).
If you think these stats are wrong, post links to better ones.
$10.8B is chump change to what the cartels bring
$10.8B is more than 20% of the national marijuana market - taken from the cartels by states making up less than 36% of the U.S. population. Your "100%" is grossly false.
I realize that the length of the article means that it is beyond your addled attention span and reading comprehension abilities. A fourth grader could probably get the gyst of this article, yet you cannot. You are a good example of the effects of marijuana on a person's abilities. Here are the final two paragraphs of the very even handed article from USA Today which was the first link that I included.
"Lee recommends parents enroll children under 18 who use marijuana regularly in outpatient addiction treatment before the use leads to “disastrous consequences.” Those over 18 can't be forced into treatment, but he says parents should strongly encourage it after evaluation. He especially recommends group therapy for young people as they may feel less singled out."
"With treatment, there is hope, Lee says: “The ones who stay away from marijuana do pretty well."
But did the increasing use cause the issues - or is each the effect of a common cause, like say the increasing leftism of WA?
"part-time psychiatrist Thomas Lee says that in the past 15 months, he has seen eight young men"
Wow - a PART-TIME psychiatrist saw EIGHT patients! I guess we can close the book on that one.

Post #55 was to Uncle Miltie.
Was it the gun shot wound to the head that killed the patient or was it Covid? According to government statistics it was Covid. Makes as much sense as your argument!
False parallel; nobody, not even the goverment, says the COVID may have caused the gunshot.
That "context" is anonymous parents and a part-time shrink who saw 8 patients; and it remains the case that the article writer explicitly declines to say that marijuana use causes mental illness rather than vice versa.
Love the way you parse your quotes to prove something that your pot addled brain believes will win an argument. You have done the same to myself and many others in the past. I suppose it is a symptom of whatever mental illness you are trying to overcome. It is not that amusing to the rest of us. Your habitual use of this tactic even has a label, “Contextomy”, the practice of misquoting someone by shortening the quotation or by leaving out surrounding words or sentences that would place the quotation in context.
This is a transparent effort to mislead and demonstrates only how insincerely you treat others here. Shame on you!
BS. Nothing in the surrounding words changes the laughable thinness of Lee's credentials.
"Context" is the whine of those losing on substance.
Only your booze addled brain believes that whining about how I quote will win an argument.
Are we having ad hominem fun yet?
Give it up man, he’s obviously very mentally ill.
I have been responding to threads you have started for a long time and coments that you have made in other threads. In all that time you have never won an argument. People just get tired of responding to your voluminous misleading nonsense. You are doing no favors to the point of view that you have been attempting to advance. I hope that it gives you some type of pleasure because that would be the only good to come from your misguided efforts.
I like to give him enough rope to hang himself... Mentally ill or not, he is very predictable and undermines whatever previous arguments that he has made by the end of every thread if someone nudges him just a little.
LMAO! In those threads you've made it clear you wouldn't know a winning argument if it bit you on the posterior.
