I have never met a chronic, habitual pot smoker who has his act together.

I have met MANY chronic, habitual pot smokers who THINK they have their act together.

overwhelming evidence that completely contradicts their leftist point of view

ROTFLMAO!

Of course you find it funny that the area where my wife and I live has become so saturated with marijuana that

Your comprehension is as deficient in reading as in math, I see; I found funny your delusional claim of having understood much less contradicted my point of view.

according to you this has happened with a 0.8% increase per year in marijuana consumption.

Wrong no matter how often you repeat it. Reread those parts I underlined - or don't and continue to make a fool of yourself. Your call.

They're out of luck; like many, my chief reasons for not using marijuana are its effects not its legal status.

You are convinced your experience is the only valid based one to have based on your writing to date.

This is close-mindedness. It’s one of the reasons you are so unpersuasive.

Now spin another yard about someone who’s life is destroyed over cannabis & we can weep faux tears for them.

Thankful I am not as miserable as you appear to be. Keep wallowing in it. I am done with ya. Too boring & fallacious on a consistent basis. Just an endless broken record full of fallacy, non-sequiturs & anecdotes while dismissing the experiences of others that differ from yours.

I used to be a lot like you before cannabis & my dietary change that transformed my life. Thankful I am free of blind dogma thinking. You should try it.

Your fantasies about my miserable life are very amusing. I have faced many challenges and had many close calls that only made me feel even luckier to be alive. Here is a sample of real experiences that make me feel like I have been one of the luckiest people ever. My life has been a great adventure. It has been much more than what I actually deserve.

When I was young I was a cycling champion and I traveled all over the country and won many races and made a lot of friends. After working in a family business for eight years went back to school but my path changed when I scored well on a firefighter exam. I married the most beautiful woman that I had ever has seen. Many years later we are still happily married and have loving children and grand children. Our oldest grandson is now 20 years old and an amazing young man who is currently fighting wild fires in Eastern Washington.

We have two houses one which we are currently in the process of selling in an expensive part of town. The other is more of a compound, with a large house, large hangar, detached 3 car garage on an acre on a small airport. My wife and I like to fly to beautiful places and ride our folding tandem bicycle. When we were younger we flew the plane frequently to amusement parks in Southern California where we enjoyed the roller coasters.

When we were at Universal Studios especially other tourist used to follow us around because me wife looked nearly identical to a movie star who was popular at the time. Even actual movie stars would mistakenly believe that she was also a movie star and talk to us. At restaurants and night spots we got pulled out of lines on several occasions and given a private room. Chefs would come into the room to take our order. When we explained that she was not who they thought she was they always just said that was alright just don't tell anyone on our way out. They liked the excitement that the other customers felt when they saw her and felt that it was good for business.

So no, I am not miserable as you imagine. I am happy that you continue to have a good life and are satisfied with the way that you are living it. I know that you have faced many challenges and overcome them.

I am sorry that what I write offends you. I enjoy reading what others write who have had different experiences than I. I often learn a lot here. I write what I believe from both my experiences what I have read and what I have learned from others. My goal is not to change your point of view. That would probably be impossible. Sorry if there are typos, I have to run.

Oh and my wife is still incredibly beautiful and loving and after three children can still fit into the clothes she had when I first met her. Like many empty nesters we also have an incredible little 12 year old wiener dog that goes almost every where with us.

You’re not offensive.

You wrongly assume your experience = the sum of the whole world = delusion.

Real science questions everything. You ASSume you know everything & ask no questions, express no curiosity in differing experiences of other.

Not that I am not set in my ways... because I am a very grounded individual. But what you describe is roughly the opposite of how I actually am. I think that it may possible that you are projecting. The problem is that during the 25 years that I worked as a fire fighter, fire officer, 911 dispatcher and Hazmat team leader I saw so much that really opened my eyes. So it is difficult for me to buy into the delusional world view that you and Noblefree try to push on others. We live in an area with very heavy marijuana use and even after retiring still have to deal with the consequences that the astronomical rise in use has wrought.

So it would seem more likely to me that you are the one who is going through life with blinders on your eyes blissfully and intentionally unaware of a society that crumbling at a rate not seen in previous times. I do not question that poor diet, sugar, and inactivity resulting in obesity, slothfulness, and a myriad of other problems have a lot to do with this. But marijuana, alcohol, and other harder drugs are also contributors. In our area because of a rate of consumption that is likely several times greater than all other mind altering substances combined marijuana has become a much larger problem than could have been envisioned by those who voted for legalization. It was a mistake and I feel that despite your objections people living in other areas considering the same type of legislation should be informed of the impressions of not just of marijuana advocates but those who actually live in areas where it has been legalized.

During my lifetime of over 60 years enforcement of marijuana laws was always lax and consumption was higher than most other areas of the country. On December 6, 2012, Washington became the first U.S. state to legalize the recreational use of marijuana. “Medical marijuana” had been legal here since 1988. All anyone had to do was go to a quack doctor advertising “green cards” in the Little Nickle Want Ads or any of our local local papers to smoke pot legally. This cost $50 to $100. The vast majority of potheads didn't bother because enforcement was basically nonexistent and marijuana was as easy to find as a bag of chips at 7-11.

Despite all the marijuana related calls that I responded to at work I honestly did not think that legalization would change anything. But was I wrong! After 9 years of legalization this state has become so hooked on pot that during the “pandemic” while construction workers were sidelined for months marijuana workers were declared essential. And now free marijuana is being given to anyone who gets a Covid shot at a marijuana store which really is unbelievable.

https://www.cnn.com/2021/06/08/us/free-weed-joint-washington-state-vaccinated-trnd/index.html

And speaking of 7-11 stores they used to be all over the place around here. Now 7-11s are hard to find and there are pot shops all over the place.

I have met MANY chronic, habitual pot smokers who THINK they have their act together.

That is my experience as well. Despite living in squalor or even being homeless... despite having delusions, hallucinations, and acting erratically they still believe that they have all the answers.

We once responded to a pothead who thought that little aliens were coming out of the wall and that he had caught some in a coffee can. He was arguing with every one when we arrived and getting himself more and more agitated. To calm him down and get him to take a ride with us to the local loony bin, I pretended to see the ones he had caught in the can. When we arrived at our destination I pretended to show them to the staff to get him to come with us into the facility. I was so convincing that my crew members insisted on looking in the can to see if there was anything in it..

It is true that I comment largely using my own first hand experience as examples. While you and your pot head partners in crime seem to prefer to call names, make fun of people with points of view different than your own and mislead with phony numbers and gibberish cut and pasted from who knows where. Personally, I have always have preferred your posts where you tell us about your personal experiences and leave out the clumsy attempts to ridicule or humiliate others. It has been long enough now since I have seen one of your informative posts that I have forgotten most of the circumstances of your situation.

Not to mention that the posts you seem to be commenting on were responses to your speculation about my sad life, etc... It is a little difficult to refute the vile characterizations that make up most of your posts without comments about the actual situation.
