What amazes me is how those elites in charge of the government seem to think that they will survive whatever comes next relatively unscathed.

I don't know what it will take to make them feel threatened that they could lose it all right along with the rest of us.

I don't know what safe zone they think is waiting for them that the rest of us cannot be a part of.

VDH went down a few notches in my esteem when he said that Trump should just move on after January 6. Give up. I forget whose show he was on when he said it. The implication was that PDJT caused the riots and chaos.

VDH is right, as always, but one factor was left out of his equation.

Us. You and I, fellow citizen. We the People are, still, the underlying force in these United States.

So what do WE do? How do we fight this decline? (Dare I ask: Who do we shoot?) I fear what a “leader” might look like, but we need one.

We The People are screaming in anger and terror as our beautiful ship of state sinks beneath us. One voice in the darkness could lead us, if we hear it before the waves close in.
