When I was new to the Fire Dept I used to refill extinguishers. It gets everywhere and you can’t clean it up..
I know that Deby was THE policeman of the North Africa, kind of our man in Africa (or rather French man in Africa).
He was actually paid to be one. In Chad, the people are cheap, so he was kind of “on budget” solution to the ISIS problem in Africa.
What will happen now, nobody knows.
I do not think anybody wants ISIS to take over Africa.
China or ISIS, name your poison.
BTW, US is involved in Africa. France is mostly the leader there, but US troops are involved too.

In 2019, US Special Operations forces were deployed in 22 African countries: Algeria, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Chad, Côte D’Ivoire, Djibouti, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Libya, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Somalia, Tanzania and Tunisia.
In about half of those, Chad provided the “rank and file” fighting troupes, while US and France provided the experts.

They will or they won’t but it should be up to the people in Africa to decide.
I don’t know what is right for the people of Africa but I do know that Europeans have not been right for over 500 years. It is time to pull out and let them decide their future.
People of Africa cannot decide anything!
Africa is run by bunch of corrupted dictators, who steal anything and everything from everybody else. If there are some elections, those are all stolen, ballots stuffed long before the elections. Nobody bothers to vote there.
Come to thing about it, we are heading in that direction too.
He just got elected.
