Chauvin may have well just put a slug in his cranium. At least Floyd would have suffered as much.

Later, the defense argued that this was constricting Floyd’s ability to breath, initially by compression of the neck, later by compression of Floyd’s whole body, and then all that augmented by purported “positional asphyxia.”
This line of argument took a body blow from the defense, however, when Nelson began displaying images of the knee placement from different angles showing that Chauvin’s knee appeared to be on Floyd’s shoulders and back, rather than on Floyd’s neck. Indeed, Lt. Mercil, the state’s expert on MPD use-of-force training and policy explicitly agreed on cross-examination that this appeared to be the case.
Of course, George Floyd wouldn't have even been on the ground in the first place if he hadn't RESISTED ARREST by physically refusing to get into a SEATED position in the back seat of the police cruiser.

This is the major problem in our country today. The media, a partisan and biased bunch of know-nothings, frames a narrative often based on cherry-picked data or evidence.
The majority of the country forms an opinion immediately and it’s very difficult to change an opinion once formed.
What you wrote is correct. The other video and photo angles DO NOT show his knee on the neck of Floyd. The autopsy results did not show trauma to the neck. He was having difficulty breathing before they even removed him from the car. He was in very poor health and was high as a kit.
Despite all of this, the narrative was formed that his knee on the neck was the cause of death and people do not want to abandon it. It was the same with the “hands up, don’t shoot” narrative of Ferguson.
Yesterday, the State’s PAID WITNESS, another ‘Use of Force Expert’ admitted on cross-examination that ‘HOG TYING” Floyd would have been an ESCALATION of the use of force and Chauvin’s decision to NOT hog-tie Floyd - even though Floyd’s actions clearly warranted that technique - was a DESCELATION of the use of force.
Had they hog-tied Floyd, would Floyd still be alive? No, he would not. Why? Because he had THREE TIMES THE FATAL DOSE of fentanyl in his system along with no less than three other Schedule III drugs.
George Floyd died of a drug overdose, nothing else.
Either way cities will burn in anguish or in celebration

Depends on the makeup of the jury and how willing they are to be fair to the defendant. I am not optimistic that the jury will do the right thing (acquit Chauvin), because the jury probably shares the Leftist point of view.

To be honest, when I first watched the video, I was horrified. I thought I was watching a snuff film.
When my wife - a recently retired E.R. doc with 30-years experience - got home, I played her the video. She said after watching it for about 20-seconds: ‘He’s dying of a drug overdose, probably fentanyl.’
It wasn’t until weeks later, when all the videos became available - obtained by FOREIGN journalists, no less - along with the autopsy report, was the 9-minute video finally viewed in proper context.
The real killer
He had severe atherosclerosis, heart disease and was loaded the F up on stimulants.
Knee on the back/shoulder even on a cuffed person is standard procedure across the nation, especially a 6’+ 230lb man on drugs.
I think hog tying would have removed the police department from culpability.
Instead we have a cops knee on a mans neck.
The man died.
