One would think that the powers that be in baseball would have great respect for the game and its revered place in American history. But that does not seem to be the case. Politics has infested every aspect of this society. Its literally tearing the country apart.
At a time when sports could have helped to relieve some of the tensions and polarization it has opted to make things worse. Rather than being a unifying force it has become weaponized to push political agendas.
Its a disgrace to the rich and great legacy of the game.
