Besides, “Men Working” seems more accurate based on my observations. The people I see at construction sites doing the actual hard labor are men.

And an 11 and 9 year olds have zero business speaking to the city council. They are too young and stupid to have anything of value to add, and they do not have to pay for wasted money for new signs.

I have little interest in what a 20-year-old, bereft of wisdom, has to say or what they think about, well, anything ... much less what interests a couple little girls. Apparently some people do care.

It is a sign of our times that people are relatively rich enough they enough time/money to worry about stuff like this, instead of keeping food in their bellies and a roof over their heads.

TBH, I don’t see “plenty” of women doing construction. Research says 10%, but that includes office workers. I would say the number is closer to 1%.

Aside: If there were one in my neighborhood I’d carefully paint a comma, to make it grammatically correct to intentions. When the city made a fuss I’d tell then the “Let’s eat grandma” v “Let’s eat, grandma” joke.
