“If you learn, and do the work, you merit the better grades and admission to the better colleges.”
If you have a higher IQ to begin with, you are a lot more likely to succeed. It’s a nice thought that “skin color” is the only difference between groups. The world is evidence to the contrary. If you work hard, and have good community and family support, you can improve yourself. Results will vary.
“Meritocracy Is A Racist System”
That is a racist statement.
Well, one can improve oneself without good community and family support. It’s just harder. Hence the need to permit students the opportunity to choose a school that encourages their talents and interests and/or improve their academic deficiencies. The world is changing fast, not all of the new technology is helpful a lot of it is a distraction, but schools are still generally structured around a 100 year old system - the only thing they’ve done of import since desegregation is dilute the necessary ingredients required for excellence. No discipline, no punishment (unless you point your finger & thumb in the shape of a gun, then you get expelled), with the exception of the few places where they have already implemented some form of school choice.
“not all of the new technology is helpful a lot of it is a distraction”
That’s an area in dire need of serious study. Most of it is designed to distract and reward.
Typical atheistic views who don’t believe we are all equal in the eyes of our Creator
After decades of effort, minorities are still behind, so the only thing left is to call achievement racist. The only solution is to ask minority students what degree they want, and just hand it to them. Why make everybody waste their time with classes that don’t mean anything?
There is NO EVIDENCE of “widespread” racism in America.
So, the kids can now just pop in at the local 7-11 and buy a scratch card?
