No. He lost because people didn’t want Mitt Romney as president. Why would I vote for a guy who got rich by offshoring jobs to China? I know that many Freepers dutifully defended Romney’s Bain Capital as “creative capitalism”, because he was the Republican candidate for president and too many Freepers seem to think they must always support and make up defenses for whatever candidate the Republican Party shoves in our faces. But since he’s no longer the Republican candidate, can we be more honest about him now?
He lost because blue collars voters hated him. And who can blame them?

Because people in the rust belt had no reason to vote for him and every reason to vote against him. He was part of the business elite that closed factories in the US and shipped jobs to China
So I was not surprised he didn’t carry Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio or Pennsylvania. I would have been shocked if he had.
