Statutory Authority The Department of Transportation was established by an act of Congress on October 15, 1966. The Department’s first official day of operation was April 1, 1967. Well, Buttigieg is very well acquainted with the theory and practice of pulling trains and has probably a lot experience in the caboose as well.
Makes perfect sense to me.

I can’t really say Trump’s choice of CCP business-linked China Mitch’s wife was much better.

This appointment isn’t too interesting. More important is how the Cabal-behind-the-Teleprompter will use federal agencies to enforce their radical social-issues agenda, particularly their “transgender” ideology.
First up in the crosshairs: our military. The Cabal has promised to inflict males-soldiers-in-dresses on our fighting forces via executive order.

Guy goes to his Doc and says, “Doc, I have this awful pain in my rear end.”
Doc asks, “Where exactly?”
Guys says, “near the entrance.”
Doc replies, “Well, why don’t we start by NOT referring to it as an entrance...”

Buttigieg mis-managed South Bend as mayor. So why not promote him higher? Peter’s principle applies here.

I figured out a way to make the .22lr round more lethal. Polish it with cyanide.
That was how Oakland Schools Superintendent Marcus Foster was assassinated by the SLA in 1973.
Shucks, a BB gun might be deadlier , quieter, and easier to get.

This appointment isn’t too interestingI think it's interesting as a view into Biden's mind. Pete's not only a former mayor, but I think it's fair to say a largely ineffective, that's being complementary, of a not too large, 101,000 city with high crime and poverty rates unchanged through his two terms. Crime about double national and state rates and about a 25% poverty rate. Plenty of things he could have fixed but didn't. Why would anyone pick him for a management position? I know, diversity trumps all. With a little more effort Joe should have found a competent homosexual, they do exist.
