It’s like saying we can control the common cold. The steps to minimize exposure are the same as preventative measure of most virus but if it’s left up to the left,this will all be the new normal.
The Left’s claim that we can control the virus by ‘flattening the curve’ is complete BS. Flattening the curve spreads out the cases along a timeline. It doesn’t change the number of cases. It can help with crowding of medical facilities on a temporary basis.
Oh this is CA—everyone has to wear a mask indoors, period, and if you’ve already had the virus and are immune there’s no way to signal that and not get dirty looks or asked to leave the store or whatever.
In the great movie “Pandemic” people started to wear bracelets when they either had recovered from the virus or been vaccinated. Then they wouldn’t need a mask or other restrictions like distancing because at that point they could neither infect nor be infected. There was also a quarterly lottery for the vaccine, because of shortages, and if you weren’t chosen, you had to stay in “distance learning” for another quarter.
The movie showed the teen crying when she learned this. Sounds like my household. Distance learning SUCKS and we are all STILL in it!
If they want to be lied to Joe’s their guy. His ads weave a tapestry of lies like I haven’t seen this side of a Seinfeld rerun.
he should have been clearer....we can control the virus in that we have great health care in America and vaccines will eventually be found...but its the PANIC demic that is out of control.....virus is one thing...PANIC is another...
The problem is Trump NEEDS a lot of those Karens and weak sisters—there are millions in the suburbs.
He needs to cater to them to get their votes. He got 52% of white women last time and he needs those again.
Women vote a LOT more than men do. I think this is because we are more used to handling what I call the “government errands” (smog checks, car registration, sending off the tax return, etc).
When women vote so much more than men, and they fear the virus, this matters a lot. Here’s a breakdown I saw of fear of the virus ranked from most to least fear:
Dem women;
Dem men;
GOP women;
GOP men.
So Trump has to work on getting the women’s fears of this virus minimized.
This Covid thingie is a means of conditioning the unwashed with fear, hysteria and panic. None of the previous flus were played up like this obsession. People went on with their normal lives. Some people got sick. So what else is new?

There is NO WAY to control a virus Meadows is absolutely correct they have moved mountains to come up with therapeutics and a vaccine SO we live with the virus and people get well WTH people can’t be that STUPID!!

The first mess up was when POTUS had tested positive, for China Flu, and Meadows is caught on hot mic telling Fake News media reporters to “lets talk off the record’ without ‘cameras rolling’.

Unfortunately, a LOT of seniors - including on OUR side - have had the cr@p scared out of them, by the leftist media, on China Flu.
My own VERY conservative (elderly) aunt is afraid to go anywhere. Only to the grocery store, where the left has assured it’s safe to go.

A weak argument by Meadows. We could control it if we were sufficiently draconian. Rather, we should be explaining why the attempts to control are worse than the disease. This is not difficult to explain.
Yes, I have a senior friend (who is obese and has several health issues) who FINALLY left her house for the very first time (really!) since March. She joined me at the dog park on Friday, with some others, sitting in chairs six feet apart, and she even kept her mask on.
Now if she hears this Meadows comment she’ll probably head right back into her house again for another 8 months! (Not that she was going to vote for Trump anyway).
I’m sure the same Democrats will say we can’t reopen widespread air travel again until we can control gravity.
I see everyone freaking out about how COVID is spreading, cases are going up, oh no, it’s the end of the world.
Do these rocket scientists get that this is the best way to really get herd immunity?

Women who are whiners who need constant safety assurances don’t like pres Trump-nor will they ever-because he is too real and honest-they didn’t vote for him in 2016, either-they don’t like macho men like the pres-they want a daddy who promises them a safety that does not exist-I wish pres Trump would sell them on wearing a burqua as being the ultimate safety apparel to avoid the wuhan virus-don’t leave home without it-I’ll bet good money that you’d be seeing those women in burquas walking around the grocery store and mall before the day was over, frowning at every woman who isn’t wearing a burqua and mask-they are that stupid and ridiculous...
Except for a couple of cities-Austin comes to mind-Texas doesn’t seem to have all that many Karens-not even in cities, and certainly not in rural areas like this one-also, a LOT of Texans live in rural areas-more than in burbs-on acreage lots with gardens and livestock to make money-we own businesses that cater to our number one industry in Winter-snowbirds from up north who live here from November to April because it is warmer and doesn’t snow so much or so often.
Crazy.
My aunt is in great health/shape (she was a department store model, in her younger days!), and is still VERY hesitant to venture out to too many places.
Before Wuhan Flu she was very active. Now, I think she just mostly sees her family.
This will not sit well, with her. She’s very tuned in to the news. You know the lying media will beat this absurd drum, nonstop.
I’ll have to call her, tomorrow.
How awful for you & everyone there! Very sorry to hear. A move might be a good idea if it’s possible to leave!
