RE: 76% of American STEM graduates are unemployed or underemployed working at Starbucks and Walmart
Can you give us your source for this incredible figure?
Make the universities co-sign on the loans, then pay for defaults out of their endowments.
Suddenly, they would stop admitting unqualified students, or offering worthless majors.
In my niche area of games development, A lot of books from Charles River Media (no ebook provided due to ebook theft by Indians) and Packt Publishing are great.
Videos absolutely suck as they are presented by (ranked in other of worst, not understandable accent to understandable) Indians, Chinese, Russians and Germans, who I cannot understand and no transcript is usually provided.
Older numbers (74%) in 2014.

Shit-tons of other articles where Indian H1Bs and OPTs are getting jobs in Industry and American STEM graduates are working at Walmart.
Hell, American medical doctor graduates are being passed over so foreigners can get the prized intern slots.
How do you account for articles like these ( October 2020 ):
THE TECH DILEMMA: UNFILLED JOBS, FEW WORKERS, LACK OF CONFIDENCE IN STEM EDUCATION
EXCERPT:
As companies grow and become more valuable, theyre able to hire and invest in new products and technologies. But they need skilled workers to grow.
This is the Tech Dilemma: Too many jobs, not enough workers. Not exactly what youd expect with the country walking a pandemic tightrope with over 8.4% unemployment (according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics).
For instance, many of the FAANGs, or five of the most prominent American tech companies Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, Alphabet (formerly known as Google) are collectively adding employees to handle the influx of demand attributed to eCommerce.
Amazon recently announced that they are ramping up investments in corporate and tech jobs, looking to hire 33,000 new employees with annual compensation packages at $150,000, according to CNN Business. And Netflix founder and co-chief executive officer Reed Hastings said the company has been and will keep hiring through the uncertainty of the COVID pandemic, per Bloomberg.
Facebook COO, Sheryl Sandberg told CNBC earlier in the year that the social media company expects to hire an additional 10,000 people by the end of 2020. The majority of the hires will be in highly-compensated product and engineering roles.
Not to mention that the market cap of Netflix has doubled in the past yearit was trading at $254 a share a year ago, and is now hovering around $500. Alphabet is up about 50% for the same period. And Amazon is up about 80%.
All of that said, according to the Smithsonian Science Education Center, 2.4 million STEM Jobs went unfilled in the U.S in 2018.
Sounds like a good plan.
Another liberal rat scam you produce the stupid zombies we need and we will allow you to rob from the parents
Sounds like a good plan.
Nice tech industry sponsored article. Timed to prove there are not enough qualified Americans to fill positions in order to lobby for increases in more of the Cheap Indian Labor Express.
And not one American will get hired. Amazon, Google, Facebook, Netflix and others are opening huge tech centers in India. Something missing from the article. Americans cant get past the initial phone screen, which is usually an offshore Indian recruiter, or the technical interview, as its dominated by Indians. Or the coding whiteboard, which its been proven that most Americans will fail and most Indians will pass.
Its been proven that the whiteboard interviews are made much more challenging for engineers that are US citizens because employers want to find any reason to reject them so that they can sponsor a foreign worker for an immigrant visa. Been through a few at Microsoft. All run by a orange-carded contractor with an Indian name. My only response was what does this actually have to do with the job description or job duties?
Most of the time, the staffing company presents an US worker for $xx/hr, but the H1B is cheaper at $yy, then they amortize he sponsorship costs into the rate so employer can pick the lower rate worker right off. I would give them a lower rate and they demand that I accept a rate even I feel
Is way too high (and get rejected)
Google’s Random/Puzzle Like Phone Coding Questions, Amazon’s Difficult Online Coding Tests and Facebook’s Obscure/Hard Coding Quizzes. The H1-B’s either skip those or have another person take it for them. We call them ringers. Common Indian fraud.
While the Indian Tech Industry operating in the US filed an injunction in federal court to prevent USCIS required wage increases:
https://www.am22tech.com/usa/news/h1b-wage-level-increase-lawsuit/
On the list are all major Indian companies who have lost several discrimination lawsuits brought by local, state and the federal government. Given incredibly small fines and continue to discriminate against Americans.
RE: Or the coding whiteboard, which its been proven that most Americans will fail and most Indians will pass.
OK, I am a software engineer who has gone through these technical interviews and gotten hired ( several times in my career ). Some are silly gotcha C++ puzzle questions, some are legitimate ones designed to determine if you know your stuff.
Why, in your opinion, do you say Americans will fail while Indians will pass these exams?
Unless the foreigners have been prepped in advance on the questions, or Indian STEM education superior to American, I don’t see how this is not an objective way to find out if you can do the job.
Because every whiteboard test I was ever given (except the one given at MLB) was given by Indian trash. Passed the MLB one with flying colors. Was hired and did great until the great furlough of 2020. Failed the rest given by Indian Engineers at Microsoft, Google and Facebook. Quite honestly I could not understand them most of the time.
Only thing superior about Indian education is the way they are taught to lie, cheat and fake their way into a position.
And there are hundreds of Indian-based interview and exam sites on the internet. I will not use as they are behind paywalls or language issues.
Unless the foreigners have been prepped in advance on the questions, or Indian STEM education superior to American, I dont see how this is not an objective way to find out if you can do the job.
They usually provided the interview question list by the recruiter, or more likely, use a ringer for the actually interview. Something Americans cant do. I was cced once accidentally, receiving a list of questions. Thats why the Indian recruiters are more interested in the questions asked (only debrief questions Ive even been asked.
Thats how Indians pass all the certification exams as well. Illegal brain dump sites where questions are illegally recorded from testing centers and published and sold for a fee.
Yes, indeed. Their product was a worthless investment if people can’t afford to repay their loans after graduating - negative return on investment.
That sounds fine too. And I agree. Get the government guarantees out.
Joe Biden took another bride and banned bankruptcy for student loans.
