The competition to attract the best and brightest recruits is getting tougher all the time, Any black person who is physically and mentally fit to be an officer in the military will have FAR more lucrative opportunities available to them in the private sector, with FAR more freedom to enjoy their perks and salaries. On top of that, the black community is not exactly being encouraged to be pro-America these days.

I visited Embry Riddle university in Prescott AZ when my d sad in was looking at colleges. All the students there, almost, want to fly fixed wing and many want to be career pilots. Many very driven, very smart, nerds at that school. And, yes, I’d say 80% were white boys. I think the right question to ask is not whether anybody is being left out, but, what is it about this line of work that makes smart boys want it so bad? All the students were working two jobs and such to afford that school. And what in their growing up years formed them into prepared students?
