Arizona elections officials are getting calls about stained, chewed up and otherwise damaged ballots. You have 2 options, but time is running out on the first one.

I asked the clerk when I voted in our county courthouse for 2 ballots for my dogs in the van. . . she smiled.
In my county they check every ballot against the voter rolls.
If you vote twice they send the DA to knock on your door.
At least that’s what our county clerk/recorder said.
The mileage in your county may vary.
The article is wrong, you should bring the spoiled ballot to the voting place to be officially spoiled.
Well thats comforting to know. Thank you. I wonder if that is what they do out here..
Call your county clerk tomorrow and see if they will give you reasonable answers to reasonable questions. If your county has a website there might even be information there about it.
That’s correct, at least for GA where I am poll worker.
If you bring a ruined ballot with legible info like your name/address/ballot ID, we can cancel that ballot in the voting records right there, voiding the paper ballot and enabling you to vote on the spot- once, legally.
If you forget to bring it or trashed it, we can still look you up to cancel the paper vote and immediately vote in person.
In GA an individual can go online and track the status of their ballot. IF someone did mail in their ballot but it does not show “accepted “ and they are nervous about it, they can come to any early voting location in their county, cancel that mail in ballot, and vote in person right then.
You need to turn in the ballot and outer envelope plus sign an affidavit to be given a new ballot to vote on the machines. We take election security very seriously here.
