Ms. Ryan, 30, is keeping her name. She was until January 2001 the director of scheduling for Hillary Rodham Clinton’s campaign for the United States Senate. She graduated from Boston College. Her father is a program manager at the Office of Personnel Management in Washington. Her mother, Donna Ryan, teaches kindergarten at St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School, an Episcopal school in Alexandria.
Mr. Blinken, 39, is a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a policy research institute in Washington. He graduated from Harvard and received a law degree from Columbia.
His father retired as a director of E. M. Warburg Pincus & Company, the investment bank in New York, and was also the board chairman of the State University of New York from 1978 to 1990 and later ambassador to Hungary. The bridegroom’s mother is the president of Arts France-USA, a nonprofit organization that promotes French-American cultural relations. The bridegroom is the stepson of Vera Blinken and of Samuel Pisar.
Ms. Ryan and Mr. Blinken met in 1995 at the White House, where she was special assistant to Mrs. Clinton’s chief of staff and he was a special assistant to the President and the senior director for speechwriting.

A native New Yorker, Ambassador Blinken’s career has blended leadership in investment banking, education, and arts patronage. Ambassador Blinken graduated Magna Cum Laude in Economics from Harvard in 1948 after serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
He co-founded the investment banking/venture capital firm of E.M. Warburg, Pincus & Co. in 1966, and chaired the Board of Trustees of the State University of New York, the nation’s largest institution of higher education, from 1978 to 1990. He served as Ambassador to the Republic of Hungary from 1994 to 1998.
Ambassador Blinken was President of the Mark Rothko Foundation from 1976 to 1989, and also served as President of the Brooklyn Academy of Music from 1970 to 1976. According to a Politico article in June, the Biden campaign’s foreign-policy apparatus has expanded to more than 1,000 people. The top adviser is Tony Blinken, who has been with Biden for 20 years. In the early 2000s, Blinken was appointed as the staff director for the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee while Biden was its chairman.
In 2009, when Biden was vice president, Blinken served as his national security adviser. He later became deputy national security adviser from 2013-2015 under president Barack Obama and deputy secretary of state from 2015-2017.
Early in Biden’s primary campaign, Blinken was tapped to lead his foreign-policy team as the top adviser. Experts in Washington speculate that if Biden gets elected, Blinken would probably hold one of the administrations’ senior positions,
either as secretary of state or as national security adviser.
In recent weeks, Blinken addressed the US-Israel relationship several times and said Biden as president would keep disputes with Israel out of public view.

While the Penn Biden Center has not released information on its donors, foreign funding to the University of Pennsylvania has risen more than threefold since its soft opening, spiking to over $100 million last year from $31 million in 2016, according to Department of Education records. China has been the largest contributor during that time, even as the U.S. federal government and prosecutors have ramped up scrutiny into the Chinese government’s influence-buying and espionage operations on American campuses.
Between March 2017 and the end of 2019, the University of Pennsylvania received a total of $61 million in gifts and contracts from China, according to Department of Education records. In the preceding four years, the university received just $19 million from China.
The donations included a $502,750 “monetary gift” in October 2017 from the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, a Chinese government agency that helps administer the regime’s “Thousand Talents Plan.” Federal prosecutors claim the program is linked to Chinese espionage operations at American universities and have prosecuted academics for hiding their involvement in it. Other contributors included China’s Zhejiang University, the China Merchants Bank, and the China Everbright Group, a state-owned investment group, according to federal records.

Yes. They need to ignore the post-Obama era and also have younger, less iffy people dealing with it. NOT Rudy, who is past his prime. Not Steve Bannon, who needs a haircut. They need well-spoken young people talking about it. It all seems very slapdash how it is being released.
