That would indicate that the round had struck the victim's right hand between the first and middle fingers on the palm side of his hand and traveled through the left side of his face.
Also believe the victim is stepping back and to the right away from the fence in an attempt to evade the attack.

Shooter is closer to camera so round travels slightly away from from camera downrange, and a clean propellant leaves only a small amount of smoke mostly seen on bottom side of line of fire.
