And she did help with Kavanaugh which was needed.

A supermajority of the Senate must vote to remove, not a simple majority, and that’s highly unlikely to happen.

Without a Senate majority, Trump will not be able to continue reshape the judiciary.

So suck it up and hope Collins wins.

Yes.
Can you imagine a Trump presidency with Schumer in charge of the US Senate?
It doesn't even bear thinking of. What a nightmare that would be.

Well she is the pig we have in the race. It sucks, lipstick, dancing lessons, and a prom dress. She’s still a pig. It is what it is. I hope she wins. Glad I don’t live in Maine. Maybe they can find a better person next time. If I lived there I’d vote for her for Kavanaugh if nothing else.

I'll never forget that. That speech she gave. She was almost adorable.

If Collins, McSally (most vulnerable), Graham and Tillis can pull off wins, we likely keep the Senate. It’s a tough year for us, having to defend 23 seats to the dems 12.

The only really vulnerable Dem is Doug Jones, but he is offset by Rep Cory Gardener who will lose. After that, it’s about how many seats we lose. I can’t believe AZ could vote for a gun grabber like Kelly.

Senator Susan Collins would boost her chances for re-election, if she decided to vote to confirm Amy Barrett to the SCOTUS.

±4.4 percentage points is the margin of error. Who pays for these garbage polls?

IIRC, back in 2016, there was no swing or blue state in which a GOP senator won a smaller % of votes than Trump.

I’ll be happy if Collins wins, and Trump rides her coattails to win Maine. Unlikely, but this is a year when all kinds of unlikely things have happened. Would be a nice swing of the pendulum for something good to happen, for a change.

In 2016, Hillary showed a double digit poll advantage in the state around now.

She ended up winning Maine by 3%.

It was actually very good and she at least deserves credit for that better than Murkowski.

Not in Maine she won’t. Politically-speaking, Maine is swinging towards MA. That’s why she’s swinging along with them. To ignore voter preferences is to court political oblivion. Trump will win fewer votes in ME than Collins. The only question is how many points lower Trump’s tally will be. IIRC, in 2016, there was no blue or purple state in which Trump won more votes than the GOP senate candidate, win or lose.

She deserves to be re-elected for her Kavanaugh speech, one of the very best a Senator has ever given.

I know! It seems like yesterday AZ was a deep red state. Who’s next? Really hoping McSally pulls it out.

I get all your points but do expect Collins to pull it out (avoiding a Democrat-run senate) and Trump to win the 2nd congressional district. I don’t like it but she’s got to win.

If she loses, I will look at the bright side—a wobbler will be out.

The fact the a court has virtually strangled every last part of the Maine Democrat’s chances for voter fraud will put Collins over the top. No late ballots - none without witness signature - ID for live voting = Democrat losses.
