Well as an author, having your book on Amazon is important. They are now considered the largest book retailer around.
In many cases the “publisher” really isn’t sending actual books to Amazon either. They send a digital copy which is then either available on Kindle or Amazon prints copies as they are sold. So it is possible the damage is happening at Amazon itself.

I remember when I ordered a MAGA hat from the RNC, and the package arrived with a big stomp on it. Fortunately, the hat is flexible and incurred no damage.Glad you at least got the MAGA hat. I ordered one and never got it.

Leftists cannot tolerate dissent. Years ago I had a picture of Kerry depicted as a pink poodle, saying “This Dog Don’t Hunt”. (Truth be known, many standard poodles are excellent retrievers especially in cold water). My nephew just couldn’t resist scratching out the words.

I received a piece of furniture with the wrapping so torn and ragged, I don’t know how the thing arrived in tact at all. BTW-I had to get through a real BS obstacle course just getting the delivery set up and completed
