Unless you change your name, your signature should never change.
Over time, one’s signature can change.
baloney. my signature has changed 3-4 times over the year. My first capital letter has changed in shape, my slant is different. I’m surprised when I look at my signature on things over the years and I (if God desires it) have many more to go.
How about making it a legal tool to compare driver’s license signatures, credit card signatures, Social Security card signatures, and cancelled checks signatures for comparison of contested ballots?
You might even have a signed Voter registration card around the house for comparison.
It does change over time. My signature on my Soc. Security card from when I was a little kid and got my first job looks nothing like the loop with a chicken scratch that it has become.
But regardless, I prefer in-person voting only, and you have to stick your finger in purple ink when you vote to ensure no double voting. That's how it should be.
Actually, your signature varies slightly almost each time you sign your name. Yes, they will be very similar, but there will be inconsistencies and very minor differences.
One way that handwriting experts can tell a fake signature, from a real one, is that the fake will be a perfect duplication in multiple iterations. That is how the forger practices the signature.
Try it yourself: sign your name five times and see if it varies. I know mine does.
Mine is not the same. I do not have a consistent signature.
After a severe illness my handwriting changed. Cursive became much more difficult and stiffly written. My signature, though not as clear, remains unmistakably mine.
