There should not be a report. There should be indictments. Anything less will be spun by the media as proof that the President’s attacks against the FBI are unfounded, and will give a licence to Brennan, Comey, Strzok et al to keep chirping

Um. . .I think this is fake news. The media specifically asked him about that and as I recall, he responded that his effort is not to produce any reports, but to produce indictments. They asked him about the “interim report” again and he specifically said that he never said that. Maybe he said something else later, but to my present knowledge, this is another lie. So, they want him arrested for doing something he has not done and said he wasn’t going to do. Typical.
You are correct but the media is locked in on the “Report” narrative
If there is a report it will be a recounting of the arrests and indictments made or to be made. I believe it will be a summation after the fact detailing what eas done rather than what will be done

As far as I know, as Attorney General, Barr has approval authority over the protocols used in the DOJ. He can change or ignore them. Comey had no such authority.

'While there may be an impact on the election cycle, there's no evidence that this was the intent of the AG's move. Proof of intent is very difficult to establish', yada yada yada...

Comey wasn’t fired for violating any protocol related to “affecting the election.” He was fired because the FBI is an investigative body, not a prosecutorial office. He had no business acting as a prosecutor in the Clinton case. It’s not the FBI’s job to make public announcements about people who are the subjects of FBI investigations, but the DOJ can do this all day long even though they generally don’t. There’s nothing illegal or even vaguely unethical about it. The DOJ can issue reports on matters of public interest. The Mueller report was a perfect example of this. AG Barr releases that report to the public even though he had no obligation to do so.
More coverup and BS from the DOJ and the courts. Once again the public is getting shafted by people who are supposed to be upholding the laws. And once again we will have apologists explain why we should wait…and wait…and wait. Wait for what?
