What is interesting/peculiar, is that they MUST give out awards EVERY year.
So in any given year they give out awards for Best Picure, Actor etc. etc.
There is no consideration of the quality of the film, against previous years. It’s only the current year. The best picture of 2020. The best of a pile of crap is still crap. And that is what we are presented with of late. Lousy films, winning awards from a pool of lousy films.
To my feeble mind the there should be a criteria that the film in question should be compared to other winners. Was the production/acting/scripe at the same level as previous winners? If the pool of films is so poor then they should not offer an award.
We know Asians are NOT considered minorities in leftist orthodoxy. And neither are non-POC womyn.
So what would they do with Mulan (just an example - that bomb is going nowhere near an oscar)? Have the general be a black Chinese dude named “Antwan Kintubu-chen?”

I posted about this reality before.
For 3 years a grandson in the local little league baseball had great coaches and fellow players. They won the championship for 3 years.
The other coaches got the coaches apart and the good players on other teams.
The team our grandson ended up on, didn’t win a game.
Our grandson got a participation trophy. Later that day, we heard his sister tell him to throw that trophy away.
The next weekend they had a cul de sac and empty the garage/family room sell a thon.
He took his name off his participation trophy and stuck a $5 sticker on it and put it on the table in their driveway.
They had a bidding war, and the darn thing sold for $20.
He gave his sister $10 as her incentive.
Now, he laughs at the whole debacle and still thanks his sister.
Everything Hollywood puts out has been garbage for so long, most people know it, don’t they? So it’s like what’s going to win the garbage Oscar, the potato peels or the eggshells?
Do blacks etc really want to be winning awards under these circumstances?
On the other hand... who gives a....
I am waiting for Follywood to do a remake of “The Quite Man”with that same actor/actress. Location, in Somalia. ;^}
Let’s apply the same criteria to sports. Not enough Asians or Hispanics on basketball or football teams.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has some very bad news for theater lovers.
In a recent Instagram Live chat with actress Jennifer Garner, the top coronavirus expert said it will most likely remain unsafe to sit in a theater until a year after a vaccine is released, according to TheatreMania.
“When are we going to be able to sit in a theater and watch our favorite performers up on stage again,” Garner asks Fauci in the interview.
“I think it’s going to be a combination of a vaccine that has been around for almost a year and good public-health measures,” he replied.
“If we get a really good vaccine and just about everybody gets vaccinated, you’ll have a degree of immunity in the general community that I think you can walk into a theater without a mask and feel like it’s comfortable that you aren’t going to be at risk,” Fauci said.
