The California Independent System Operator, which oversees the operation of California’s bulk electric power system, lifted a Stage 2 Emergency on Sunday night and thanked residents for their efforts toward conservation.
“Thank you California for protecting the grid again,” ISO said in an announcement on Twitter.
A Stage 2 Emergency, which had been declared briefly both Saturday and Sunday, means the “ISO has taken all mitigating actions and is no longer able to provide its expected energy requirements.”

A special thanks to fossil fuels...saved the day for the CA power grid (56% of power supply after the sun went down and solar went to bed)...also imports from out of state (23%). “Dino Juice” & nuclear/hydro from out of state keeping it at “Stage 2”...rolling blackouts start at “Stage 3”.

That’s interesting. I got a text from SC Edison a few minutes ago warning they’re planning a power outage in my zip code area within the next 48 hours. No indication of exactly when or the probable duration. Let me count the ways I hate Democrats...
Maybe if they build more solar they can finally solve the supply issue. /s

So now we have to “protect the grid” like we have to protect the spotted owl. . .nobody in any other state has to protect their fragile grids.
i suggest “Protesting” the Green Grid - which clearly puts human lives at risk. protecting the grid - or protecting human life in 115 degree heat Newsom Garcetti et al??? again their priorities are upside down.
