Ok so you are fine with a fifteen year old flying your plane or driving the school bus. They can open bank accounts and offer guarantees, Sue and be sued. Vote. They can work at the nuclear power plant and drink at a bar. They can be drafted and sent to war. You see no issue with them not being mostly adults yet. They can get the death penalty. You see no Possibility of mass exploitation or harm or having mostly immature people doing these things in our society.

From what I read in the article, you have to tread a very fine line to obtain that conviction. Any thread in the evidentiary line that pulls loose will get the case tossed out.

Well there’s a lot of truth in it as well. Sex sells, and the bar has been lowered that children are now being inundated with sex, and if every form now. She was not making fun of it, but rather stating that it has become the norm, and not a positive norm. No one here that I know of condones what is being taught to our children.

sorry Jim. I happen to think that our culture holds back adolescents unnaturally. That some would start adult lives and responsibilities earlier if given a chance. This is not an unusual perspective when seen from an international perspective. In my grandmother’s culture women and men married at 13. Heck my next door neighbor ine year older than me was sporting a 2 caret rock at age 14. She lived in a subculture in the wealthiest community in New England.
There were cultural/fraternal organizations that encouraged early work and marriage in their children. And in the cities there were 13 and 14 year old secretaries and typists. In my own time the large companies had 14 to 16 year olds work afternoons in offices and many left school to earn full time wages.
It’s also an injustice to those who mature earlier than most people do.
