After the official 9/11 "Tribute in Light" was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, Tunnel to Towers Foundation CEO Frank Siller vowed he won't let that happen.

Siller, who lost his firefighter brother in the terror attacks, told "Fox & Friends Weekend" the lights will shine skyward as always, as will the solemn reading of the names of the victims.

"You know, it broke my heart. It really broke my heart," he said Saturday after speaking to fellow 9/11 family members and people across the country who were upset about the cancelations of the memorial tributes.

So now the ball is in de Blasio‘s court. Will he leave these folks alone, or will he send in the NYPD to break things up?

The NYPD of course lost quite a few people on 9/11. So if de Blasio sends them in, every last officer involved should get sick and go home.

de Blasio is a nut burger.
How does shining some lights in the sky spread covid 19?

The lights are a giant statue, and Willhelm wants it pulled down.

It has nothing to do with DeBlasio. This is all on the 9/11 Memorial & Museum — a foundation whose board chairman is Michael Bloomberg and whose board is filled with a bunch of major NYC corporate A-holes.

It doesn't spread COVID 19, it spreads patriotism and admiration for those lost on 9/11. DeBlahBlah only spreads discontent and hatred for the USA.

I suspect you’re right about the cops not enforcing an order to stop the lights.

de Blasio‘s theory is that the electricians, etc. will be in close proximity and so will give each other the flu.

Being in close proximity to protest and riot: OK
Being in close proximity to honor the 9/11 victims: not OK

It’s worth noting that the 9/11 folks will certainly be a disciplined bunch. They’ll be wearing masks, etc. They’ll be careful. Quite unlike the street protestors.

As of last night, it is now OK to go to an indoor theater.

NOT OK to go to church.

Do dictators like being defied? How do they typically react? Note: you don't have to look to history of places like the Soviets for examples to consider. Plenty right here in the USA in just the last few months.

While I loathe Cuomo, he has more political sense, and intelligence than Wilhelm, IMHO. That is not much credit, but I don’t think he would be so foolish. Thank you.

99% of New Yorkers will nod, smile, and say it’s all for the common good.

And the next mayor of NYC will be - you guessed it - a communist democrat. (Sorry for the redundancy)

To: Alberta's Child; All

I think Alberta’s Child is correct. The article is not clear as to who gave the order to cancel the official 9/11 ceremony. I just checked another article. This article seems to say that the 9/11 Memorial and Museum cancelled the event. But even then the phrasing is odd. I sure wish today’s journals knew how to present facts.
