Oh, yes, fun fact... TN Demonrats tried to recruit Chattanooga Chafee Corker back in 1997/98 to run against Scumquist’s reelection. I voted for John Jay Hooker in ‘98, both parties hated him.

According to you, the guy that Trump specifically brought from his ambassadorial position in Japan, to come run for the US Senate seat in Tennessee, and who was part of the Trump campaign in 2016 (Hagerty), is somehow a never Trumper.
Meanwhile, you also stipulate that this Sethi, who has totally surrounded himself with hardcore never Trumpers is somehow not a never Trumper. On what planet is that?
I'd strongly advise you to get off the drugs.

Yes.

Yes.

"On what planet is that?"

Planet Earth.

"I'd strongly advise you to get off the drugs."

The drugs one would require to ignore Hagerty's lifelong record of being an establishment lackey who worked for the Bushes while simultaneously giving money to Al Gore's Presidential campaign, giving money to McQueeg in 2016 to SABOTAGE Trump, working as Willard the Rat's Campaign Finance Chairman (who was a ringer for Zero) and supporting El Jebbe and Marco Roofio before realizing he'd have to lie his ass off to Trump - the guy he viscerally opposed - in order to get an Ambassadorship, would have to be considerably strong.

Sounds like a certain rich gentleman I know from back in the day in New York. That particular gentleman made campaign contributions to all kinds of Democrats including Hilary Clinton, Charles Schumer, Senator Gillibrand and a whole boatload of what we'd call today far left Democrats in New York City.
That particular gentleman also happens to be one Donald J Trump.
I don't care what political contributions Hagerty may or may not have made in his lifetime.
All I care about is his loyalty to Donald Trump, which is so solid, Trump brought him all the way from Tokyo to come run for the Senate seat.

You keep talking about loyalty, Joe. The loyalty of the establishment Derp class is to themselves. Hagerty is loyal to Hagerty, nobody else.

How many times do you kids have to learn that ?

Trump was NEVER a party loyalist. Hagerty has portrayed himself as being one. That’s the difference.

The President didn’t bring him back from Tokyo of his own accord. That was Hagerty. He was tipped off by the establishment that Lamar! wasn’t going to run again and wanted to get in early in order to be coronated and not challenged by a Conservative. Hoodwinked (lied) to the President in order to get an early endorsement before the race even shaped up. Huge mistake on the President’s part, way back in July of 2019 !

I’ve seen this dog and pony show before. This same establishment scum thrust down our throats. Victor Ashe, Scumquist, Lamar!, Corker, Howard Baker Jr., Van Hilleary (who sold out), Haslam, Lee, Beth Harwell, and on and on. When you gonna wake up and smell the coffee, Joe ? Or do you like munching on a great big $hit sandwich ?

I will take the loyalty of Bill Hagerty to Donald Trump over that of Sethi a billion times out of a billion. Hagerty has been solid for Trump since he joined Trump in 2016.
Sethi?
Even right now he still hired the most hard core, most rabid, most vicious never Trumpers he could find. If some guy is hiring all your most bitter enemies he can find, what would make you think he is not planning a war against you?

Actually, Trump has been more loyal to the Republican Party and to Republican voters and kept his promises more than any Republican President in my lifetime. And I have lived a long time.
Again, I don't care if Hagerty made campaign contributions to Bush, McCain, Romney whoever. If you were here on FR at the time, you'd know that plenty of Freepers made contributions to those three gentleman.
Why? Because of the far greater evil of John Kerry and Obama.

The people of Tennessee had a choice to make. They made it. They choose who they wanted. When he screws them as he will if he is a Bush Leaguer or Romeyite, no crying. Just say”We got who we wanted”, bend over and take like a man.

“I will take the loyalty of Bill Hagerty to Donald Trump over that of Sethi a billion times out of a billion. Hagerty has been solid for Trump since he joined Trump in 2016.”

Then you’re a fool who can’t spot a hack and a user. This guy wants a lifetime sinecure for himself in the Senate to take him until he’s past 80 years old. Trump is only in until 2025. Hagerty is looking to 2039, 2045, maybe longer. This is the guy he has to fool NOW in order to get in.

Are you seriously that naïve not to see that ?

BTW, didn’t it bother you that Hagerty was so cowardly that he couldn’t even debate Sethi ? Since when is that like President Trump, a man who relishes the battle ? Who faces his opponents ? If Hagerty is too scared to fight Sethi, how do you think he’ll face up against Demonrats ?

Use some common sense, Joe !

Now that, coming from a guy who is backing the candidate that hired a veritable army of hard core Trump haters, is laughable.
You are either clueless or a never Trumper yourself. I'd go for the latter.

“Actually, Trump has been more loyal to the Republican Party and to Republican voters and kept his promises more than any Republican President in my lifetime.”

And you’re making my point for me. What has Hagerty done in his FOUR decades in establishment Republican politics ? Had you even heard of him until he decided he was owed the Senate seat ? These guys pop out of the woodwork, the entitled class, and decide it’s their time to rule over us, we the people. Doesn’t that bother you ?

Trump was the first candidate since Reagan in 1980 that was chosen by and for the people, not by and for the establishment. What Conservative grassroots movement in Tennessee was angling to draft and nominate establishment tool Hagerty ? He’s what the Lamar!s want, the Corkers, the Haslams. Not we the people, not the grassroots.

“Again, I don’t care if Hagerty made campaign contributions to Bush, McCain, Romney whoever.”

You left out Al Gore. He was kissing Al Gore’s ass with the expectation he would win in 2000 and throw him a bone (maybe, Ambassador to Japan ?). He was playing both sides to see which would give him a bigger payoff. That is sleazy and amoral. No character at all. Haven’t we seen people like that, Joe ? Haven’t you personally had enough of them running OUR country, yours and mine, into the ground ?

That you cannot differentiate the candidate himself vs. the EMPLOYEES of a candidate is quite disturbing. You have every excuse to go after employees, yet your candidate himself, the man, his history, his actions, his duplicity, his deceitfulness, his cowardice, doesn’t seem to matter to you. Are you really that blind ? How can you bend yourself into a pretzel to defend this fraud ?

^^^You failed to answer this, Joe. Every one of you Hagerty apologists has summarily refused to answer this. I want an answer.

This guy wants a lifetime sinecure for himself in the Senate to take him until he’s past 80 years old.

Except the guy is already rich with a great life. And a lifetime in the Senate is not that great. He doesn't need to be in the Senate.

If a guy sets up a detective agency and only hires assassins and killers, would you take your business to him? Unless of course you are looking for someone to kill your wife.
The people every campaign hire have everything to do with the character of the candidate.
If the candidate hires a bunch of vicious nasty never Trumpers, the candidate IS a never Trumper no matter what he says now.

"Except the guy is already rich with a great life."

Then he should drop out and enjoy his rich life. But he wants power. What all these Establishment hacks hunger for. Remember a fella named Lamar! Remember back in 1996 when he said he would never run for office again ? Remember that "cute" little book he wrote where he said nobody should serve more than two terms ? Same phony baloney establishment hacks. Liars who lust for power. Just one more fraud.

"And a lifetime in the Senate is not that great."

And yet it's what these power-craving individuals desire. Years, decades. The Senate is a fantastic retirement home. Better than the ones riddled with the China Flu, AND, you get all the perks and bennies of deciding where trillions of dollars that they've looted from our treasury go (to their corrupt buddies or puppetmasters, of course !)

"He doesn't need to be in the Senate."

That's for DAMN sure. We don't need another Slick Willie.

I want to know the candidate. You want to know his temporary employees. You’re barking up the wrong tree.
