2nd quarter State and City tax revenues and projected shortfalls ought to be out soon

Which is why the Dem bill has 1 TRILLION to bail out Red state cities. The loss of revenue cannot possibly allow the continued excessive welfare program spending and redistribution.

Just MAYBE, Cuomo’s policy of Check Points and Quarantines will help. He’s such a genius.(/S)

The veranda/balcony part is nice; and I like the library. I don’t like the rest of it. Looks ‘luxury hotel’, not ‘home’.

Yes, killer view.
Some of the rooms are pretty but generic.

The Grandma Killer is going to have to offer more than a meal and drinks to get his disloyal liberal friends to move back to NY .... damn the luck, Epstein is dead, his main pimp is in jail, and Ed Buck is more unavailable.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer city. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving city.

I”m not crazy about too-glitzy homes that look like a professional decorator did everything.

The little apartment with the Balinese decor was nice; but still too sterile...

(I remember the last time my husband and I went apartment hunting - after a day of looking at nicely furnished, contrived ‘models’ I was so glad to get home and look at my own interesting *stuff*.)

cities are anachronisms today. The more subways, the more taller buildings, the higher the infrastructure costs and the more revenue a city has to generate to justify it own existence

no need to concentrate, capital, material and human resources on rail lines, waterways, harbors or interstates any longer in the 21st century

they are sources of voter fraud and voter disenfranchisement

The Muni-Bond Market of the last 40 years tells you al you need to know about the viability and utility of metro areas today

Crash the NYC real estate market. The left finally found a strategy that hurts Trump in the wallet.

That may be part of why I stopped going to open houses a long time ago.
I got tired of the staged look.

“Which is why the Dem bill has 1 TRILLION to bail out Red state cities.”

Red state? That doesn’t make sense.

I know that real-estate people tell you to streamline and clear out everything personal, so the potential buyers can see what THEY might do with your spaces; but I’m not sure that’s entirely a good idea. Sometimes a unique but very personal item can capture someone’s imagination in exactly the way you want to do.

I used to have two male friends, gay guys who were artists, and they had the most inviting home with so much that was fun to look at. It was the first time I realized that making a beautiful home is something you do for other people, not just yourself and immediate family - if it inspires people and their imaginations, it becomes a haven for them, too.

(I”ve had to laugh at the mania for baking cookies or brownies for an ‘open house’ or a model apartment, so the place smells ‘homey’. I’d rather smell fresh air and fresh flowers ;-)

The property taxes 20 years ago for that one were $2.7 million a year, $6.4 million now. I wonder if they feel they get enough services in return.
